Rapid WWE SummerSlam 2014 Odds Shifts

There have been some notable odds changes in the SummerSlam 2014 betting markets at the 5Dimes Casino & Sportsbook.

The timing does play into previous events where odds shifts have been in line with match finishes.

Here's what I have noticed. I have highlighted the most interesting.

  • Roman Reigns is now -4500 after being -1200 at 11pm. Randy Orton moved from +600 to +1500
  • Paige, who had been an outsider for all of the betting period, has now become a favourite at -900. AJ Lee is now +500
  • Seth Rollins, a -475 fave a short while ago, is now -1700. Dean Ambrose drifted out from +325 to +800
  • The Miz, who was -120 at 11pm, became a +500 underdog within twenty minutes. Dolph Ziggler is now a -900 favourite after being a dog all the way through until 11pm.
  • Stephanie McMahon's odds have gone from -350 to -1200 in the past half hour. Brie Bella - on the other hand- has gone from +250 to +600
  • Brock Lesnar was -1050 at 11pm and is now -4500. In the same period, John Cena went from +550 to +1500
  • Bray Wyatt, who had been at -1200 for most of the evening, is now available at -4500 with Chris Jericho drifting out from +600 to +1500
  • Jack Swagger, a favourite throughout the past four days is now an underdog with a price of +500. Rusev, who was +155 at 11pm is now -900

  1. I'm pretty certain not all these favourites are going to win!!!! I've got a feeling the wrong results may have been leaked for the odds to change like this.

  2. Here comes the inside money!!! Is that it now? Will the lines remain as they are now, and not change?.. Surely, there has to be at least one favourite that wont win!!

  3. Paul there could be a reason why inside money has been going on later than usual since wrestlemania....my guess is so that the results are unlikely to change!!

    1. The late shifts used to be the norm. It's only earlier this year and a few late last year when the Saturday shifts were noticeable.

  4. At least one Kieran- if not two!! Where the hell does this insider information come from? Surely, every single match result on the card cant possibly have been leaked!!!

  5. Why do you say tread carefully David?

    1. I sense one or two of these will not prove true.

    2. It will either be Rusev, Paige or Ziggler. All the other results are set in stone now- they wont change!

    3. With you on that David....especially dolph paige and rusev matches with all being on -900 makes me wonder one or two of these will not come through

  6. Well if you look at the odds that were offered for the underdogs e.g ziggler paige rusev then obviously money is going to land on them if the results are out and thats what has happened!

  7. I managed to get on the gambles on time with Ladbrokes. I managed to get three figure sums on all three at decent odds. Personally I can't see all three (McMahon, Ziggler and Rusev) winning but as long as one of them go in I will get my stakes back. Two of them and I'm a winner. Three and I'm quids in.

  8. Guys, one or two of these betting favourites are completely bogus because the Babyface/Heel dynamic for the entire show is conspicuously imbalanced. The betting lines suggest that there will be only 2 baby-face victories. There will be more than a mere 2 baby-face victories at the second biggest wrestling event of the year!! Guaranteed!

    1. Yeah, that's one of the things that smells fishy to me.

    3. Yeah but Lesnar is 50/50 for audience so is wyatt....more like 3 title changes is very unlikely!

  9. I'm putting my cash on A.J.@ 7/1 and Swagger@ 11/2 because I believe at least one of them will win!!
