Seth Rollins Favourite To Win A Scratched Match

Seth Rollins is now a favourite to win a match that isn't going to take place on tonight's WWE Night of Champions 2014 pay-per-view.

It was reported yesterday that Rollins' scheduled opponent for the bout - Roman Reigns - was rushed into hospital with an incarcerated hernia which required emergency surgery.

I speculate that this shift from underdog to favourite is a result of people predicting the WWE creative team will work the real-life drama into an angle and somehow have Rollins awarded the victory via forfeit.

When I checked in with the 5Dimes Sportsbook before the news broke, Reigns' price was -260 with Rollins' +180.  As of this morning, Rollins is -195 (1.51 EU, 20/39 UK).

It wasn't only the off-shore sportsbook that had to readjust its lines.

European bookmaking websites SkyBet.com and Betfair.com have also seen action on Rollins.

His price has gone from 13/8 to 8/15 with Sky Bet and from 13/8 to 1/2 with Betfair.

PaddyPower.com, who also had Rollins at 13/8 yesterday evening has taken the match off its betting board.

Odds are correct as of 10am BST. For the latest WWE prices, you can go to 5Dimes.com, Paddy Power's WWE Page, Sky Bet's WWE Page or Betfair's Specials Page.
