Why Is Seth Rollins Being Backed?

One of the most interesting things I have noticed in Royal Rumble wagering over the past day is the evident betting that has taken place on Seth Rollins winning the triple threat match between he, John Cena and current WWE World Heavyweight Champion - Brock Lesnar.

The wrestler had been given odds of 10/1 with 5Dimes.com and 9/1 with PaddyPower.com when the ability to wager on the individual participants in the match was published yesterday.

Since opening, his price has dipped mildly at both sportsbooks. At the time of publishing, he's 17/2 with 5Dimes and 13/2 with the Irish bookmaker.

I'm not discounting the possibility that he'll leave Philadelphia with the championship on Sunday. I simply don't think he'll secure victory in the triple threat match.

If he wins the belt, the logical story-telling route would be for him to do so after cashing in his Money in the Bank title shot immediately after the three-way has concluded.

In the case of betting, the result of the triple threat is all that matters. Anything after the bell is off the board.
