UFC 186 : Where The Best Odds Are

It's a day later than I had anticipated, but here is the third post in a trial run where I go through the latest MMA/UFC card and point out where the best odds for the main card can be found.

Tonight's post focuses on UFC 186 which will see Demetrious Johnson defend his UFC Flyweight Championship against Kyoji Horiguchi in the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec (which is the site of.. Oh, let's not go there).

Yves Jabouin .vs. Thomas Almeida

Almeida is undefeated with a seventeen-fight win streak. He's also younger than the 20-9 Jabouin. The odds are right on. Almeida win.

Best price for Jabouin:
+400 with 5Dimes
19/5 Bet365

Best Odds for Almeida:
-500 at both 5Dimes and Bovada
1/4 Sky Bet

John Makdessi .vs. Shane Campbell

Two Canadian fighters. I haven't seen Campbell before, so I am not really confident on how this will go.

Makdessi's best prices:
-130 5Dimes
3/4 Winner.co.uk

Cambell's odds:
+110 5Dimes
29/20 Boylesports

Quinton Jackson .vs. Fabio Maldonado

This one is an avoid at all costs for me. Don't really know where either guy's head is as the fight has been off-and-on due to legal wranglings.

Jackson's best price:
-230 5Dimes
2/5 across numerous sportsbooks

Maldonado's odds:
+190 at both 5Dimes and Bovada
9/4 Betfred

Michael Bisping .vs. C.D. Dolloway

Bisping is one of my favourite fighters. However, I think Dolloway will win this. This is my 'gut feeling' of the week.

Bisping's odds:
-150 5Dimes
4/6 Coral

Dolloway:
+130 with both 5Dimes and Bovada
7/5 Boylesports

Demetrious Johnson .vs. Kyoji Horiguchi

Johnson is 21-2-1 (9-1-1 UFC) while Horiguchi is 15-1 (4-0 in the UFC). On paper, it looks like Horiguchi has a chance, but it isn't even close. Johnson all the way.

Johnson's best odds:
-850 5Dimes and Bovada
1/7 Betfair

Horiguchi's odds:
+575 5Dimes
13/2 Stan James

1 comment:

  1. All preliminary and undercard markets are active on betfair with some very competitive prices. Bet for the night is Aisling Daly @ 9/4 generally but there are some firms with bigger prices in vegas. Horiguchi is the value bet for the night, im in agreement with you that its might mouse all the way but there are plenty of rumours to suggest the Johnson is getting "board" with his current occupation as a fighter and is a keen extreme sports enthusiast. Im not saying he would throw the fight, not at all, but i am saying that if you were not too bothered in your job would you show up 100% on you're last day?

Take from that what you will David but i think value plays a big part in Kyoji's price @ 6/1
