Looking Over Paddy Power's Extreme Rules 2016 Odds Again

It has been over five days since the traders at PaddyPower.com published betting odds for tomorrow night's Extreme Rules 2016. In that time, we've seen interesting price changes off-shore, so - in this post - I'll take another look through the markets to see how the odds have changed.

The firm has still not published a market for the Kick-Off match between Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler. I'm unsure whether the company will offer betting on this match.

The asylum match had opened with Dean Ambrose a 1/4 favourite over Chris Jericho (5/2). The ripple effect of the price changes overseas has forced the traders to now put the babyface at a much shorter 1/7 while his adversary is now a more attractive 4/1.

I had been very high on a Chris Jericho win in this bout. I have already had bets on him at 13/5 and 3/1, but am now playing it cautiously following Ambrose's odds changing.

Charlotte had started off at 1/7 to retain the WWE Women's Championship with a win over Natalya (7/2) but she too has been backed by the Paddy Power customers. Their support has forced the firm to move the champ into 1/10 while the challenger has gone out to 5/1.

The New Day are now 1/5 to retain their WWE Tag Team Championship from the threat of The Vaudevillains. The titleholders were originally 2/5, so the clients have taken the favourites here as well. As a result of the slight adjustment, the contenders have moved out from 7/4 to 3/1.

Kalisto's odds have also moved to 3/1 from 7/4 while Rusev's price to defeat the US Champion has gone from 2/5 to 1/5.

The biggest shift has come in the market for the Intercontinental Championship. The present champ - The Miz - was originally 5/6 to keep the strap. This has now been cut heavily to the point where he is a far shorter 1/5. This has obviously led to Cesaro (11/10 to 6/1), Kevin Owens (8/1 to 9/1) and Sami Zayn (10/1 to 12/1) having their odds increased.

Roman Reigns - who will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in an extreme rules match against AJ Styles - was initially introduced as a 1/5 favourite. His backers have forced the team to cut him to 1/10 while the challenger has been moved out from 11/4 to 5/1.

Prices correct as of 10pm BST this evening. The markets can be found under 'Sports Novelties' over at PaddyPower.com.

  1. Confident enough to say smart money has landed yet? Or still mildly?

    1. It's still mild because nothing has really changed.
