William Hill's Battleground Odds

The oddsmakers from William Hill have become the latest to price up odds for this weekend's WWE Battleground pay-per-view.

There are seven match markets available for punters to choose from.

The main event has Dean Ambrose a 2/5 favourite to retain the WWE Title with a win over Seth Rollins (7/2) and Roman Reigns (4/1).

The undercard odds can be viewed in the image below.

If you'd like to bet on any of these matches, it's worth noting that the company will take the market down overnight. So - to avoid disappointment - I recommend having a bet as soon as you can. With that said, the company does tend to have the markets back up early the following morning.

Another thing I have liked lately is that the traders have released prop bets on the night of the show. I'm hoping they do the same again this month.

The markets are found under 'TV/Specials' on the A-Z menu at WilliamHill.com. Alternatively, you can follow this link to get to William Hill's WWE Betting Page.

  1. Im expecting the odds to flip on Nattie. Both drafted to SD, 1st match of the feud. Can see Nattie getting the win. What do you think?

    1. The odds already did flip. Insiders learned the outcome to a couple of matches yesterday, so they made their bets. Becky Lynch will take the match.

    2. We can only surmise that the few moves had anything to do with smart money at this point.

Like Marc stated, the logical approach would be for the heel to win the first match of this program.

With that said, Becky and Darren Young moving is ticking the boxes.

    3. We see this every month though and it makes sense. A few matches on Thursday get finalized, so WWE insiders make the bets after work (changing the lines in a large manner.) Then Friday, same thing happens with the rest of the matches. I made max bets on Young, Lynch and Ambrose after seeing the moves. Young at +190, Lynch at -130 and Ambrose at -135. I could hedge on 5dimes right now and guarantee myself profit.

    4. I believe you're mistaken.

Thursday is a totally different day. The latest trend has been Fridays and then later in the weekend.

Before that, it was later in the weekend.

And before that (2013) it was at the start of the weekend.

      Never Thursdays.

    5. The movement of Young from +210 to -215 (-425 move) this was followed by a move on Bovada from +190 to -200 (-390 move). With all eyes on the Miz it could only be an insider, most likely learning that Young will win via DQ or countout. I could see The Miz just getting up and walking away, so Young wins via countout. Then for Lynch on Bovada she went from -130 to -400 (-270 move) and on 5Dimes went from like -260 to -530 (i believe, which is a -270 move). You also stated that you saw this move pretty fast (I was at work so wasn't able to see it right away on 5dimes.) I would be shocked if its not Young and Lynch getting the wins. Just my thoughts though, we are all here helping eachother to make money from these sportbooks. It is usually Friday afternoon (here in the states) but the move we saw yesterday in a couple of matches all points to a couple of insiders.

    6. Firstly, the Young move was from +165 to -215 on the day. I don't think he was ever +210.

The Bovada changes have more to do with people reacting to the 5Dimes move as the odds weren't adjusted until after
      this post from earlier today

I'm not stating you're wrong in thinking this is smart money. It's just that I'd like to see more moves across the board beforehand.

    7. Becky Wins now. Natayla will win once they fight for Divas Championship either at Summerslam or Backlash. While Young is getting pushed, they probably don't want him taking a pin yet.

So they will have him win by DQ or Count out. While makes sense that WWE wouldn't take WWE Championship from Smackdown. Since they would only have the IC Title then. Which would make Smackdown look too weak. Having to bring back three titles and Raw none. This way both shows have to bring back titles to fill make up for their show not having them.

    8. There won't be a Divas Championship after going to great lengths to distance away from that terminology for women's wrestling.

As for the WWE Championship and Smackdown. It makes more sense for the WWE Title to be moved to Raw and the way they can do it on Sunday is to have Rollins pin Reigns or vice versa. They can have Ambrose lose the title without technically being beat for it.

  2. Well the last 2 months there was an odds flip late on a Friday. 1 individual switch each ppv. Im expecting more changes this time. Unless Young wins by countout or dq, Ryder would have to beat Rusev as they wont have both US & IC titles on the same show. So thats a possible switch, albeit a surprising one. With Owens & Zayn on the same show & Owens already having won their previous 1 on 1 PPV match, i'd guess Zayn should win this one & have the blowoff at SS. So when that match goes 1 way or the other, i'll consider all match finishes finalized.

  3. Last night I put some units down on Dean, Becky and Darren on Bodog (Canadian Bovada) as there odds hadn't changed like 5Dimes. Was this a mistake? This is my first time ever trying to understand and work with smart money. So was I to soon in my bets?

    1. It'll only be a mistake if the results don't go your way!

If they do, you would have acted correctly.

  4. This might not mean anything, but 19 hrs ago WWE's YouTube channel posted a video of Summer Rae inspiring Sasha into becoming The Boss.

I got Sasha & Mystery Partner @ 1,85 with bwin and PartyPoker before they took it down.

    1. Yeah, somebody told me last night they maxed on that one.

Will get to the mystery partner thing later!

    2. Summer Rae also re-tweeted a gif of her and Sasha 23 hrs ago.

  5. Makes sense that Ambrose would win. They won't leave Smackdown with only the IC Title(or no titles if Young somehow wins). While Raw would have WWE Championship, US Title, WWE Tag Team and Womans Title. It's only fair that Raw would have to bring back World Heavyweight Championship. While Smackdown down the line would bring back Divas Championship and World Tag Team Championship.

    1. It makes more sense for the WWE Title to move to Raw through Seth Rollins or Roman Reigns.

The IC Title match does not have to end in a pinfall. Darren Young could win by DQ or countout, so the title would stay on Smackdown.
