Comment Bag : 20 August 2016

This was left by Steve earlier today. It wasn't off-topic, but I though it deserved a post of its own:

WrestleMania had big movements during the Saturday afternoon (UK). I wonder with this being a big PPV, and having NXT TakeOver tonight (the company had the Hall of Fame on the eve of WrestleMania) if outcomes get decided today.

That's something worth looking out for. Another thing to watch is to see if the booking meetings are done in a similar way to last year's event as it's in the same city etc. For what it's worth, I have pegged 8pm BST on Sunday as the moment where I was confident that the significant moves had come from.

For what it's worth, here are the the times for this year's Mania and all the SummerSlams since I started actively tracking the moves.

WrestleMania 31: Saturday 4pm BST
SummerSlam 2015: Sunday 8pm BST
SummerSlam 2014: Sunday 11pm BST
SummerSlam 2013:Sunday 6pm BST

    Hi David,
    Do you know of any bookmakers offering odds on NXT tonight?

    Plus, do you think any smart money has been put on Summerslam? Charlotte had a huge drop in odds and from a booking point of view can't see why anyone would bet against Sasha as she's only had the belt on her for 2 mins!

      Hi Sam,

      Have been looking, but cannot see anything for TakeOver.

      As for Charlotte - I'm unconvinced about this drop. I'm leaning on the idea that they backed her earlier this month when Sasha went from -475 to -1050 within a day. Just guesswork on my part.

    I've gotten on the odds whilst I can. Cena, Sasha and Miz at 34/1. I can see odds flipping later tonight so it's just picking which ones might flip and making the most of the odds now!

      Sorry, my mistake. They were 14/1. I did another Acca straight after at 34/1! I can't keep up with some of the acca's i've done for Summerslam haha!

    It amazes me how finishes/ who wins (and how it affects whole storylines for months to come) get decided so close to the PPV. We are 28 hours away from the start and some finshes probably havent been finalized. Some of the Pre-show matches even get changed right before it starts.

      That's probably partly due to insiders leaking information. If decision was made week(s) ago everyone would know result way in advance
