I had a look at the match odds when they were first installed and planned to go through the match specials at a later point. I've finally managed to get to them.
Firstly, the match market is still showing the same prices as it did when it first went up. The traders have given Bill Goldberg 3/1 to get the W while Brock Lesnar is a short 1/5.
On Saturday, I noted that I wasn't going to bet either wrestler as I have a feeling the match will end up with an inconclusive finish. I have a feeling Shane McMahon will end up interfering to lead to he and Lesnar meeting at WrestleMania 33.
This segues neatly to the first special that I think is worth a look.
Method of Decision
The compilers have set up a market where their customers can bet on the 'Method of Decision'. There are three options to choose from: 'Pinfall', 'Submission' or 'Any Other Method'.
As you've probably figured out, I've gone with the 'Any Other Method'. It appears others have chosen this selection as well because the odds have dipped from 3/1 to 5/2.
If you believe the winner will be victorious through pinfall, they'll pay out at odds of 1/17 (it opened 1/20) or, if you like long-shots, and want to take a chance on a submission, they're offering 8/1 (opened 7s).
First Of Listed Moves To Be Performed In The Match
This market sees Brock Lesnar's F5 up against Goldberg's Jackhammer. Whichever move is executed to the respective opponent first is the winner. They're offering the Jackhammer at 6/5 and the F5 at 3/5.
I hardly ever bet on these specials, but would take a stab at the Jackhammer just for a speculative punt.
Lesnar To Break Suplex Record
In this market, the customers have the option to wager on Brock Lesnar delivering seventeen or more suplexes to Goldberg on the night. If it happens, the customer will be awarded winnings at 6/1.
I'll pass..
Total Number Of Suplexes By Brock Lesnar During The Match
If you believe Lesnar will suplex Goldberg eight or more times during the match, the bookies will pay out winnings at odds of 9/10. If you believe he'll go lower than that, it's 4/5 for 'Seven or Less'.
Match Duration
Another market that's on the board is one where clients can predict how long the match lasts. The timer begins with the opening bell and then ends with the following bell.
The '13:00 or more' is favoured with a price of 18/25 and the '12:59 or less' is EVENS.
I haven't bet on this market. If I were forced to side with one option, I suppose I'd have to settle for the 'Over' only because it's scheduled to be Goldberg's final match and I think he'll be motivated to have a match with a good story.
For what it's worth, had this prop been available in 2004 when they last wrestled, it would have been a winning bet as - according to Wikipedia - it lasted 13:43. However, they're both 12 years older now and Goldberg hasn't wrestled a match since then.
I expect we'll see more Survivor Series match markets published in time for the event.
When available these markets are available from the sportsbooks and casinos that use Kambi betting.. Below are links to some of the websites' new customer bonus pages:
Is there a certain price for lesnar that if it got worked up to that you would take?
ReplyDeleteNah, I can't see either guy losing.
DeleteGeez that jackhammer and spear looked weak... They're realling killing the Goldberg I loved.
ReplyDeleteyeah it wasn't good at all. Rusev had like 30 seconds that he "could had" broken out of the jackhammer before it happened. Very sloppy.
DeleteI'm going to blame it on nerves. He was a bit shaky when he lifted his son onto his shoulders a fortnight ago.
ReplyDeleteNot going to diss him for the spear as he was trying to do it safely on Heyman.
Under suplex is a lock. He is not Cena or Ambrose. If i not wrong, even Undertaker take near 5-6 suplex last time. And Goldberg is weaker than deadman. Also i dont think that Lesnar will dominate here, like against Cena, Rollins, Ambrose..
