Friday Night Takeaways : Jan 13 2017

Here are some takeaways from today's Royal Rumble betting.

Braun Strowman's Odds Are Coming In

It depends where you look, but Braun Strowman is technically a favourite or, at a push, a joint-favourite, to win the battle royal. His price began to shorten yesterday night into the early hours of this morning as punters started to see..

The Undertaker Has Drifted Out

Now that it doesn't look like The Undertaker will be in a title match at WrestleMania, the punters have evidently started to look at other likely candidates. Hence the moves coming in for Strowman. A name that has been coming in is..

Samoa Joe

The Ladbrokes website had Samoa Joe at 40/1 yesterday morning. Then - as myself and others began to read the news inside this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter about a possible WrestleMania plan for Samoa Joe  - it fell to 25/1. The best price for him can now be found with Ladbrokes.com and WilliamHill.com where he's 12/1.

Brock Lesnar

I published a post a few hours ago noting that Brock Lesnar's schedule is stacked post-Rumble. I know the match between he and Bill Goldberg is locked in for WrestleMania, but I'm starting to wonder why he's making all these TV appearances after the Royal Rumble right through Fast Lane and into WrestleMania.

Finn Balor

Finn Balor is another Royal Rumble selection that has seen action since last night. His best available price of 7/1 has now been cut to 6/1.

Sky Bet Request A Bet

The oddsmakers at SkyBet.com added more Request a Bet specials a few minutes ago. You can check them out on Sky Bet's WWE Betting Page. I'll go over them tomorrow.

UK Championship Betting

I've had a question asked about whether I knew there would be UK Championship odds published for this weekend's tournament. Somebody else got in touch about this a little over a week ago . I have asked a few sports betting firms, but it didn't seem likely.
