Paddy Power's 2018 WWE Royal Rumble Odds For May 10th

It has been almost a month since I last had a proper look through Paddy Power's betting odds for the 2018 WWE Royal Rumble, so spent some time on Tuesday taking a look over the market. There have been changes made to some of the selections' prices.

In this post, I'll point out where the odds have changed starting with the selections that have drifted out and then cover the name whose odds have shortened.

Selections That Have Drifted
The main name on the list of drifters is Finn Balor. He remains a second-favourite. However, his price has moved out from 4/1 into 5/1.

Another notable selection that has moved out is Mojo Rawley, who went from 16/1 to 20/1. I pinpoint Rawley because his price was slashed from 80/1 in the days following his victory in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 33.

The Undertaker - who is highly unlikely to be a participant next year - has increased from 20/1 to 33/1.

Chris Jericho has moved out from 20s to 25/1.

The rest:
Dean Ambrose from 14/1 to 16/1
Jason Jordan 33/1 to 40/1
Conor McGregor 66/1 to 80/1

Moving In
Only one selection has had a price cut since the most recent visit and that's Braun Strowman.

The Monster Among Men is now 8/1 to overcome the field in next January's battle royal. The previous price I have for him is 10s.

It isn't surprising to see why there are punters out there backing Strowman. Despite being injured as of the time of writing, he's still technically in the midst of a big push what with his current feud with Roman Reigns and potentially Brock Lesnar next up.

As of right now, I don't believe Strowman will win the Rumble.

With that said, I can understand why some fans took the 10/1. He's one of the strongest booked guys in the company right now and - if I wasn't conscious to the Lesnar .vs. Reigns plan - I would have had Strowman as a potential winner if next year's victor is coming from the Raw brand.
