John Cena's WrestleMania 34 Opponent
There have been three changes made to the John Cena market since November 2nd. This is evidently because of the WWE Championship picture changing dramatically now that AJ Styles has claimed the title from Jinder Mahal and has cast a shadow of doubt over the speculated Jinder Mahal versus John Cena match.
As a result of Styles' title win, the price for the WWE Champion to take on Cena at WrestleMania has been cut from 6/4 into 9/10.
This moves Styles into joint-favourite long with Jinder Mahal.
The former WWE Champion was a 2/5 favourite when I last checked in, so he has obviously drifted to 9/10.
Another name that's worth pointing out is Samoa Joe. This selection has been snipped from 6/1 to 4/1 and I have a guess as to the reason why.
It's because Cena versus Joe was originally scheduled for WWE's return to Madison Square Garden in late-December, so I suppose the oddsmakers - or punters - might have believed that a Cena/Joe feud will make it to TV and extend into the springtime. The MSG match has now been changed to Cena versus Roman Reigns.
Kurt Angle's WrestleMania 34 Opponent
Two selections have changed in the market for Kurt Angle's WrestleMania opponent.
Triple H, who was at 17/20 along with Jason Jordan, is now a sole 4/6 favourite while Jordan has drifted from 17/20 to 11/10.
I think the bookies have it right on as Angle versus HHH is more WrestleMania-worthy than Angle going up against Jason Jordan.
Triple H's WrestleMania 34 Opponent
With Triple H moving in the Angle market, it's obvious that 'Kurt Angle' should move in the 'Triple H opponent market'. It too has been cut from 17/20 into 4/6.
Three selections have increased. They are Kevin Owens from 3/1 to 7/2, The Rock also from 3s to 7/2 and Daniel Bryan from 6/1 to 13/2.
Prices correct as of November 17th 2017.
