Undertaker Moved To 1/2 In Cena Mania Opponent Betting And More

The Undertaker is now a 1/2 favourite to be John Cena's WrestleMania 34 opponent in a market that is available from the compilers from Kambi.

He had previously been EVENS.

This move coincides with a report in this week's issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter which pointed to Cena versus Undertaker being one of two matches that are - as of this moment - scheduled to take place in April. The other being Roman Reigns versus Brock Lesnar.

John Cena's WrestleMania 34 Opponent Odds

As you can see in the table above, The Undertaker has been descending since November after opening at 3/1 at the start of that month.

His isn't the only price to be cut since January 5th.

Batista has moved from 7s into 5/1 and Braun Strowman is now 8/1 from 10/1.

The news of The Undertaker versus John Cena being a potential match at WrestleMania has also had an impact on another market - the one where customers can predict which bout will be the main event of the evening.

WrestleMania 34 Main Event Betting Odds

The option to wager on 'Any Undertaker Match' closing out the show has now been cut from 3/1 to 2/1 within the week. It had initially been priced up at 10/1 in July.

With the selection lowering, the traders have increased 'Lesnar .vs. Reigns' from 1/10 into 1/5 as well as a few other match-ups.

News that Ronda Rousey and her agent met with Triple H on Tuesday night may have also forced the bookies to cut 'Any Women Match' from 5/1 to 7/2.

  1. Ugh. I'm starting to buy it. I was probably so resistant to the idea because I don't want to see it, but it's not like it's a bad idea business-wise for them and there's a very plausible way for it to happen, so yeah.

    1. I was against it because I thought last year was perfect with Taker passing the torch to the next generation and leaving his hat & coat in the ring. That was a fitting visual, imo.

With that said, this is a dream Mania match and will allow for Taker to have a win on his way out, if this is his farewell.

    2. Not just that, but he looked god awful last year, and I don't need 20 more minutes of a legend embarrassing himself in a WrestleMania main event. But if there's anyone who can get a good match out of current Taker, it's Cena.

  2. For me no one benefits from a result here. If taker wins the questions will revolve around whether cena will get hurt by it. And if cena wins. It will damage his wrestlemania legacy.

    1. I'm not even going to overthink this one. Taker is winning.

  3. There's storyline opportunities if Cena loses. He can question himself whether he still has it in him to break Flair's record
