Per the rules of the competition, fans could vote on an eliminated team to be reinserted back into the tournament at the semi-final stage.
Going into the weekend, the oddsmakers from Kambi priced up a market where customers could have a bet on the team that made its way back into contention.
Banks and Balor had opened at 5/2 on March 16th, but were cut to 2/1 by the following day. They remained at this price right up until the market was taken down on Monday evening.
They now go on to meet Charlotte Flair and Bobby Roode next week. The winners of that match will then go up against finalists - The Miz and Asuka, who overcame Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman last night.
Team Awe-ska closed as 1/10 favourites to Bliss and Strowman (19/4) for the first semi-final.
The final will be held on April 3rd.
