Rumble 2019 Odds Notes For May 17th

I have spent an hour or so of this afternoon catching up with the two Royal Rumble betting markets that are available on the websites that publishes Kambi's WWE odds.

Even though I haven't written much about these markets since they were released, I have made monthly notes and there are enough adjustments from April to warrant an update.

In this post, I'll run through all the adjustments that have been made since last month.
  • Rhyno is now 125/1. He was 250/1 when the market was first published in February
  • Curt Hawkins - who was 250/1 for months - is now 80/1
  • Carlito has also been cut to 80/1 from 250/1
  • Conor McGregor's odds have doubled to 50/1
  • Great Khali was available at 80s for the opening few months, but is now 33/1
  • Matt Hardy is now 25/1 from 33/1
  • Killian Dain - who was 80/1 - is now down to 25/1
  • Kenny Omega has drifted out to 25/1 from 20s
  • Sami Zayn has been pushed out to 20/1 from 17/1
  • Randy Orton is another at 20/1 from 17s
  • Same for Bray Wyatt
  • Batista, Dean Ambrose and The Rock have each moved up from 15/1 to 17/1
  • The Miz has been cut from 20/1 into 15/1
  • Shinsuke Nakamura has moved out from 12/1 to 15/1
  • Rey Mysterio down to 15/1 from 25/1
  • Dolph Ziggler is now 15/1 from 20s
  • Aleister Black is now 15/1 from 25/1
  • Seth Rollins has lowered from 15s into 12/1
  • Rusev has also moved from 15/1 to 12/1
  • Elias, Chris Jericho, Big E and Baron Corbin are all now 12/1 from 17/1
  • Samoa Joe has dropped from 15/1 to 10/1
  • Finn Balor is now 10/1 from 12/1
  • John Cena has moved up to 8/1 from 13/2
  • AJ Styles has also jumped to 8/1 from 13/2
  • Bobby Lashley's odds have been halved into 6/1
  • Roman Reigns is now 3/1 from 4/1, but had opened at 7/2 in February
  • Daniel Bryan - who opened at 8/1 in February, when he wasn't cleared to wrestle - is now at 3s. He was 4/1 last month
  • Braun Strowman - who had been 2/1 since February - is now 6/4
The women's Royal Rumble market - which opened on April 14th - has shifted at the top with Ronda Rousey drifting out from even money favourite to 6/4 with Charlotte Flair joining her as joint-favourite by dropping from 9/4.

As I've written a couple of times this week, if Ronda Rousey is really going to leave Money in the Bank as WWE Raw Women's Champion - Charlotte Flair winning the Royal Rumble becomes an even likely result if the plan for next year's WrestleMania is to have Flair go up against Rousey. A Rumble win would allow for Flair to cross brands for the encounter.

  1. Would it be wishful thinking for anyone to post a 2019 MITB market? Would love to see odds on a certain male talent...
