A Look At Lesnar's SummerSlam Opponent Betting Market

On tonight's episode of WWE Raw, we should get an idea of who Brock Lesnar will defend the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2018.

An angle is planned where the Universal Champ has to show up on Raw or be stripped of his title.

Before WWE aired Kurt Angle's ultimatum, the Kambi oddsmakers published a market where customers could place bets on who they believe will meet Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.

Unsurprisingly, Roman Reigns - who has been clamouring for another rematch with Lesnar - was installed as a 4/6 favourite.

Bobby Lashley, who defeated Reigns at Extreme Rules, is in third place at 7/4. Braun Strowman is listed in between the two wrestlers at even money.

Brock Lesnar's SummerSlam 2018 Opponent

As I've written in previous posts where I've written about Brock Lesnar and SummerSlam, the obvious route this could go is to have Roman Reigns finally get the win against Lesnar.

Bobby Lashley will also have a claim to challenge Lesnar following last night's victory, but the important thing about yesterday is the match wasn't to determine a number one contender. A SimmerSlam match between Lesnar and Lashley could allow the former to get another win before Braun Strowman cashes in on him, if this is how they want to book Strowman's cash in.

On the subject of Strowman - another scenario I had recently was for him to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase against Lesnar on an episode of Raw. If this were to happen, tonight would have been the perfect opportunity to do so because everyone is focused on Lesnar and SummerSlam. Strowman executing his contract tonight would come out of left field and surprise many.

This market was closed last night. It will be settled on the night of SummerSlam.
