Well - something that is being advertised for Smackdown has resulted in me placing a wager on one of Kambi's Royal Rumble markets.
On Tuesday, Vince McMahon will be on the show to moderate a face-to-face segment between WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan, and his challenger for next week's Royal Rumble PPV - AJ Styles.
If you recall, a few weeks ago, we saw AJ Styles being goaded by McMahon. It resulted in Styles knocking McMahon to the ground.
After watching the segment, I started to entertain the idea of Styles' aggressive side - that McMahon was trying to force out - being the cause for his loss to Daniel Bryan.
I kind of forgot all about it after that. Either that or I subconsciously put it to one side as I had a feeling there would be a screwy finish in Brock Lesnar .vs. Braun Strowman. Now that we're not getting Lesnar/Strowman, I am back on board with Bryan/Styles ending in anything other than a pinfall or submission.
And now there's a betting market where I can have a punt on it.
Kambi's 'Method of Decision' market for the result of the WWE Championship match at the Royal Rumble is offering a 'Pinfall' at 11/20, 'Submission' at 7/4 and 'Any Other Method' at 2/1.
I took the 2/1 because I have a feeling the result will be a disqualification win for Daniel Bryan.
When looking at the card, the only other match that - in my opinion - could end up being screwy is the one for the Smackdown Women's Championship.
Even if my prediction is wrong, I just have to hope that the WWE Championship match isn't determined by either of the other methods. Lesnar .vs. Strowman now off the card makes me slightly more confident.
Is it just me, but it seems there is just "No" buzz for this show. Joe
ReplyDeleteIt sure doesn't feel like there's a big stadium PPV at the end of the week!
