More WrestleMania 36 Weekend Betting Updates For May 31st

In the most recent post, I noted that the Kambi oddsmakers have republished their 2020 WWE Hall of Fame Headliner betting market. I now focus on another couple of markets that will be settled on the very same weekend.

The 'Exact combination of participants in the last match of the show' special has now been adjusted after being stationary for quite some time. The selections that have moved in are for a repeat of the WrestleMania 35 main event. It has been lowered from 10/1 into 17/2.

I don't think many would think that the company will go for Lynch/Flair/Rousey II for Mania 36, so it's quite surprising to see it lowered. I'll get to another reason why as I continue.

Another selection that has been lowered is for a Roman Reigns .vs. Braun Strowman to be the main event on April 5th 2020. It has been halved from 20/1.

Of the two, I think Reigns .vs. Strowman has the better chance of happening, but I'd still consider many others ahead of it.

One match we now know will not be happening - Dean Ambrose .vs. Roman Reigns .vs. Seth Rollins - has been taken down. It was being offered at 25/1 and was a match that I was sure would happen at a WrestleMania, but outside forces may have gotten in the way.

I still think Reigns .vs. Rollins has a good shot of being next year's Mania main event, though. The selection remains one of the betting favourites, but has increased from 7/2 to 4/1.

The other favourite has also moved from 7/2 to 4/1 and it's for a singles match between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch.

Dave Meltzer, in a recent issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, reported that WWE has a Mania 36 plan for Lynch. It, as of the time he wrote the article, does not include Rousey nor Charlotte Flair.

This should immediately discount the possibility of there being a repeat of this year's main event.

With the company reportedly already lining something up for Becky Lynch, it should come as no surprise to see her odds to win the last match on the card cut once again.

In Kambi's 'Lasting Image' special, which will pay out on the 'last participant to win a match during' WrestleMania 36, Lynch has dropped from 9/2 to 5/2 to 2/1 in the periods when the market has been available to customers.

It's worth noting that, despite the reports that the company has a plan for Lynch, it does not necessarily mean the match in question will be the last one on the card.

Nor does it mean she'll be booked to win it.

The current, and previous, 'Lasting Image' selections and their prices can be viewed by clicking on the table below.  Note that 'Dean Ambrose' and 'The Shield' have been taken off the board now that Jonathan Good has signed for WWE's competition.
