G1 Climax 29 Betting: Latest Ibushi .vs. Ospreay Odds And More

We're nearly a day away from the G1 Climax tournament resuming with the third round of A Block matches.

New Japan has confirmed that Will Ospreay will fight on. The company pulled him from Monday's card after suffering a stinger in his win over SANADA on Sunday.

Kambi's market for Ospreay's meeting with Kota Ibushi has seen the latter now backed into 2/13. This isn't surprising considering Ibushi is currently 0-2 and will need to pick up some points if he is to get anywhere.

The news of Ospreay's injury, coupled with the fact that Ibushi is also carrying a hurt ankle, has affected the Over/Under Wrestling Observer Star star rating betting line. The 'Under 4.75 Stars' option - which was already a 3/4 favourite - was taken down to 13/25 yesterday.

Ibushi remains a favourite to win A Block. However, his price has been increasing due to him being 0-2.

He went out to 3/5 from 13/25 sometime before 9AM BST on Monday morning. Kazuchika Okada and KENTA - both with two wins out of two - are closing in on him.

Another favourite with zero wins after two matches is Tetusya Naito in B Block. He remains at EVS to win B Block, but it's worth noting that the market hasn't been adjusted since Saturday night. This would have been after Naito went 0-1 and before his loss to Taichi in Monday's main event.

Naito remains a favourite to be the outright winner although he was moved out from 13/10 into 6/4 yesterday.

Second-favourite, Ibushi, has continued to move out following his bad start to the tourney. He is now at 21/10 from 9/4.

The selection that has moved in twice in the most recent adjustments has been Kazuchika Okada. The IWGP Heavyweight Champion went from 5/1 to 17/4 before Monday morning and was then taken down to 7/2 by yesterday evening.

You can see all of the current prices - and all the moves I've recorded - in the table below.
