AEW Debut On TNT Betting Update For August 19th

Kambi's market - in which customers can place bets on the average rating that All Elite Wrestling's debut episode on TNT - has been readjusted.

I wrote about the special in a post published a week ago. In it, I pointed out I have a very strong feeling AEW will get 'Under 0.75 Million' viewers for its TNT debut by looking at how low the AEW, Young Bucks' Being The Elite worldwide social media numbers are when contrasted with other social media celebrities. For a company that's built off social media, I believe that should not be overlooked when trying to predict how well the debut show performs on US TV.

There has been an even bigger development since Monday's post and that is about NXT potentially going head-to-head with AEW on that night. When I last wrote about the market, it was looking like Fox Sports 1 would be the destination, but - according to reports - the USA Network will home NXT instead.

That makes it even more intriguing as USA and TNT are kind of on the same level playing field when it comes to audience reach. FS1's reach is shorter than TNT's.

Anyway, after thinking about it for the last few days, I thought I would have a gamble on the show doing lower than 749,999 average viewers on October 2nd.

It's a gamble.

AEW appears to selling out all of its shows, so - on the surface - there does appear to be interest in the product despite the worldwide social media numbers forcing me to expect a low turnout when it comes to TV performance on October 2nd.

The 'Under' selection is now down from 11/10 to 17/20. As a result, the bookies have moved the other options up.

'0.75-1.49 Million' has increased from 5/4 to 13/10 and '1.5 Million Or More' has moved to 7/4 from 7/5.
