That's because BOTH shows had audiences of 778,000.
What made it all the more surprising is I had a wager on Kambi's proposition market named 'Conqueror of Wednesday' and I believe I've sneaked a fluke of a win on the wording of the prop.
In the wager, customers were asked to bet whether AEW would 'have more viewers than NXT'. Barring some rule that I don't think I've missed, I'd call that a technical win for the 'No' due to the tie as AEW did not have what was needed - more viewers than its opposition.
There was another market available in the early stages of betting on this week's TV. It was the 'Up For Wednesday' prop in which customers were given the opportunity to bet on the combined numbers for both of the shows doing better than the combined numbers for last week.
The number to beat was 1,696,000. Therefore, the 1,556,000 for this week's shows mean that the winning selection turned out to be the 'No'. As you can see, the odds were 4/5 to start off and they rose to 9/10 after the 'Yes' was taken down from 9/10 into 4/5 sometime before 10AM GMT on Monday morning.
