21/2/20 Smackdown Viewership

The network TV numbers have been released from last night and WWE Smackdown on FOX had a total average audience of 2,490,000 viewers.

This is from having 2,542,000 tuned in for the first hour and 2,438,000 for its second.

Now that the numbers have been recorded, the final couple of pro wrestling TV proposition markets for this week will be settled by the Kambi oddsmaking service.

In the first prop, customers were asked whether the show would have a total average of 2.5 Million or higher. With the number being below that, the winning selection will be 'No'.

As you'll see below, the eventual winner started off at 9/10 on Sunday and was backed into 17/20 later that day.

It remained at that price right up to the market's close yesterday evening.

The second prop, which required Smackdown's number, asked customers whether the blue brand would beat the 17th February episode of WWE Monday Night Raw by 200,000 or more viewers.

With Raw having 2,437,000 on Monday, the difference was 53,000. Therefore, the winning selection will be 'No'.

The eventual winner was 19/20 from Sunday right up to Monday evening when betting was stopped a few hours before Raw began.

  1. (Random) But HHH and Stephanie are with Fury in his locker room. Makes me think he has kept a close relationship with WWE and we may see him at Wrestlemania in some form.

    1. There wasn't really much of a question over him being involved with WWE in the future as they teased something with him and Braun Strowman as a tag team.

The thing I said seemed unlikely was Fury meeting Lesnar in a match at WrestleMania, which - as we now know - was Fury building up something that wasn't going to happen.

    2. I'll tell you this now and I know there's a strong chance I'll be wrong..

Once Lesnar is no longer the champ, that would be the best time to do an ANGLE with Lesnar. Like on the Monday after Mania if Lesnar is no longer champ. That would get them some mainstream pub now that Fury has and I quote today's press 'taken America by storm'.

    3. Can't see them doing the champ versus champ thing as the result would have to be a no contest is the point I'm trying to make with the need to not have Lesnar as titleholder.

    4. BTW, the above looks like I mean both titles will be on the line. I didn't mean that!

    5. Yeah ever since Drew won the Royal Rumble, I knew Lesnar vs Fury wasn't happening but I think Fury will be at WM now for sure. Andre the Giant Battle Memorial perhaps?
