A Look At Goldberg Or Strowman To Be Universal Champion After Mania 36

With Braun Strowman reportedly set to replace Roman Reigns as challenger to Bill Goldberg's WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania, I've taken a look back at one of the WrestleMania Champions specials that Kambi had.

The market was first published in late-November. At the time, Goldberg was not a runner. He was added at 5/1 in February.

Braun Strowman was a selection, though.

As you'll be able to see below, the Monster Among Men was 12/1. He was pushed to 15s on December 7th and declined a couple of times before the market closed. He was back to 12/1 on February 15th and then 19/2 on February 27th.

Once Goldberg and Reigns were the only selections left in the betting, the former was a 2/5 favourite and was cut into 1/8 by March 2nd and was then down to 1/14 on March 7th.

The current Universal Champion went out to 4/1 from 7/4 before March 2nd and was last seen at the 11/2 he was pushed to on March 7th before the market was last seen on March 10th.

We obviously don't know which wrestler will be declared the winner yet. What we do know is there might have been a fortunate punter - or punters - that backed Strowman at 15/1 unless, of course, the drop to 12/1 was done to adjust to the markets with Goldberg inserted into the running.

Even so, Strowman did lower to 19/2 after that, so maybe there is - or are - at least one potential winning Strowman bet out there.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. He has to win the title first.

Whichever way you look at it, there was some nice prices available for the two competitors in the title match with the best price being the 11/2 for Goldberg and the 15/1 for Strowman.
