How Kambi Settled Its Observer Star Ratings Market For The WWE Survivor Series (2020)

Roman Reigns' win over Drew McIntyre - at last Sunday's WWE Survivor Series - was the bout which received the most stars in Dave Meltzer's review of the PPV.

Four-and-a-quarter stars were given in Meltzer's report, which was published in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The result meant that '4.25 Stars Or More' was the winning selection in Kambi's market in which customers could bet on the 'Exact Star Rating of the Highest Rated Match' for the show.

As you can see, in the first image below, the selection was a 3/5 favourite when the market was initially published last month. However, it fluctuated as the weeks progressed. It ended up at 1/2 by the weekend of the event.

McIntyre .vs. Reigns found itself up against the battle of WWE's women champions in a head-to-head market that was published by Kambi.

The winning selection was 3/4 when the market was installed on Wednesday November 18th. By the Saturday, Kambi had pushed it up to 4/5. However, it was down into 4/6 a few hours ahead of the event.

Sasha Banks' victory over Raw's titleholder - Asuka - was the second-best match in Meltzer's review with a score of three-and-three-quarters.

The difference of half a star between the first and second best matches in the report meant that Kambi settled a prop special - in which customers were asked whether the match of the night would beat the next best contest by half a star or higher - with 'Yes' declared as the winning selection.

As you'll see below, the option started out at 6/5 with 'No' a 3/5 favourite in October. The price was down into 27/25 by the day of the event.

'No' was the winning selection in two other proposition markets that were released for the PPV.

The 'Joint Winners' prop asked customers whether two - or more - matches would receive the most stars in the write-up.

1/3 was the price of the winning selection. 'Yes' was 2/1.

The third proposition was an Over/Under which asked whether more than one-and-a-half matches would receive at least four stars from Dave Meltzer.

With one match going over the required line, the winning selection was settled at odds of 13/10.
