The Winners And Losers Of Big E''s MITB Cash-In

On last night's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Big E successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank contract against Bobby Lashley to become WWE Champion.

This result now means that all of Kambi's Money in the Bank markets from 2021 have now been completed.

Going into last night's cash-in, there were five markers still in-play. One was half-way settled while the remaining four were all solely-focused on the men's contract being executed.

With Nikki A.S.H's cash-in also being fruitful, Kambi will settle a proposition market - which asked whether or not both cash-ins would be successful - with 'Yes' declared as the winning selection.

Opening on July 17th, the market offered the eventual winner as a 2/5 favourite over the 7/4 which was priced for the 'No'.

Also produced on the weekend of the Money in the Bank 2021 PPV was the prop which asked whether or not the men's cash-in would be successful.

Just like with the market for both cash-ins, the 'Yes' selection was the bookmakers' favourite. It was 1/6 while the option to punt on the Mr. Money in the Bank - whoever that turned out to be - failing to win a championship after executing his contract was priced 13/4.

The market returned on the weekend of this year's SummerSlam.

MITB 2021 Betting: Men's Cash-In Prop Bet

As you'll see in the table above, the odds for the cash-in to be unsuccessful were lowered into 14/5 when the market was republished. This could have been due to the knowledge that Smackdown's Big E was the briefcase holder. With Roman Reigns being booked strongly as Universal Champion, it's understandable to see the 'No' lower while 'Yes' - despite remaining favourite - pushed slightly up to 11/50 from 1/6.

To enhance the idea that the bookmaker may have thought Big E's cash-in would turn out fruitless, a look at the prices available for the 'WWE Championship' being the title the briefcase holder executed his contract on. It had longer odds compared to the short price available for Reigns' Universal strap.

MITB 2021 Betting

When I came across the special. on the day of SummerSlam, Kambi had the eventual winner at 9/4 while the title of Big E's then brand - Smackdown - was a 2/7 favourite.

By 10:30PM BST that very day, the odds for 'WWE Championship' had declined into 5/4 while the other option had been pushed up to 11/20.

The selection which covered 'After SummerSlam to End of 2021' was the winning option in a special which asked punters the timeframe of the briefcase cash-in.

MITB 2021 Betting: Date Of Men's Cash-In

It was an 11/20 favourite when the market was first published on the weekend of the Money in the Bank PPV.

The losing selections were the short period between Money in the Bank 2021 and the end of SummerSlam 2021 - which was 5/2 - and any point 'During 2022' which was 29/10.

Kambi offered 3/1 for the cash-in to occur during one of WWE's TV shows, when the 'Show of Men's Briefcase Cash-in' market was published on July 17th. By SummerSlam weekend, Kambi had lowered the selection into 7/4 while moving the 'PPV (Including NXT TakeOver)' offer from 1/5 to 2/5.
