G1 Climax 31 Betting: Night 5

It's A Block's turn once again in the G1 Climax. Before I get to the match markets for today's card, I have to bring you up to speed on some markets that were republished after I put out THIS UPDATE yesterday.

Kambi's tournament winner market has been changed with four selections now with shorter prices than when they were last available.

The betting favourite - Kazuchika Okada - is now 13/10. This is down from 8/5.

The other three selections with reduced prices are Kota Ibushi (5/1 into 4/1), Jeff Cobb (10/1 into 8/1) and Zack Sabre Jr. (12/1 into 8/1).

Kambi's market, in which customers could bet on what they believe will be the tournament final, was also placed back online yesterday.

G1 Climax 31 Betting - Tournament Final

Four selections are showing shorter odds than when the market was last available. All four have combinations featuring Okada.

A final with Okada taking on Shingo Takagi remains a favourite. However, it is now at 6/4 from 43/20. Okada meeting Kota Ibushi is now a joint 7/2 second-favourite. It was previously 4/1.

The third Okada selection is one with KENTA as a finalist. It has slipped into 15/2 from 9/1.

25/1 is now available for an Okada versus Tomohiro Ishii final. It was previously 30/1.

Now, onto today's card and the match markets. Match results will appear as soon as possible below each table.

Match Winner: Toru Yano

Tomohiro Ishii (2 points) .vs. KENTA (4 points)
The only market, for today's event, which was adjusted during its short existence was the one for the meeting between Tomohiro Ishii and KENTA.

Opening as a 3/4 favourite yesterday morning, KENTA was down into 11/10 by 10:00PM BST last night. He remained at that price right through to the market's close at 8:00AM BST.

Ishii went from 19/20 to 5/4.

Match Winner: KENTA

Kota Ibushi (4 points) .vs. Zack Sabre Jr. (4 points)
Kota Ibushi was Kambi's 8/13 favourite to beat Zack Sabre Jr. in today's main event. ZSJ was 23/20 to pick up another two points.

Match Winner: Zack Sabre Jr.

Here's how the A Block looks after today's round. Great-O-Khan and Zack Sabre Jr. are the only two wrestlers who haven't lost so far. Great-O-Khan has two points more than ZSJ because he earned the two-point forfeit from Tetsuya Naito's injury (they were set to meet on night 17). Sabre is on six because he earned his two points from Naito in the ring.
