Another Look Over Kambi's Mania 38 Markets

With the Royal Rumble around the corner, Kambi has republished its WrestleMania markets which allow customers to gamble on who they think will be holding the major WWE titles at the close of April's two-night event.

The specials were last available in the middle of November. They have now been changed to reflect the WWE Championship title switch, possible Rumble-to-Mania storylines and other factors.

Here's how they differ.

WWE Universal Championship
The WWE Universal Championship market still lists the current titleholder - Roman Reigns - as a favourite to be in possession of the title at the close of WrestleMania.

However, his price has increased from 1/2 to 7/10.

Current WWE Champion - Brock Lesnar - has had a price decrease from 7/4 into 13/5.

It makes sense to see Lesnar as the second-favourite in the market - and with the dip in price - because he could potentially lose his current title and wind up challenging for Reigns' strap in the springtime. As of the time of writing, Kambi lists 'The Beast' as a 2/1 favourite to be the 2022 Royal Rumble winner.

Roman Reigns' challenger for the Royal Rumble event is Seth Rollins. He has been added to the market at 9/2. As has Rumble 4/1 second-favourite, Big E, who's 9/2 to leave Mania season with the Universal Championship.

Bobby Lashley, who is scheduled to compete against Lesnar for the WWE Championship a week tomorrow, is 17s to be holding the other title come April 3rd.

WWE Championship
When the WWE Champion at the end of WrestleMania 38 market was first installed on November 1st, the then titleholder - Big E - was 8/5. A week later, that price had been snipped into 6/4.

Since then, Big E has lost the title but has become one of the favourites to win the Royal Rumble. As noted, he is currently a 4/1 second-favourite to be the last man standing next Saturday.

E is a joint-favourite, at odds of 19/10, to be the WWE Champion when all is said and done in the first weekend of April. Beside him, in the betting, is Roman Reigns.

I am sure some might wonder why Reigns is one of the favourites in this market. There are a couple of fair reasons I can conclude. One is in case the Reigns .vs. Lesnar match at Mania becomes title versus title. Another scenario could see Seth Rollins winning the Universal Championship next week leaving Reigns open to head to Brock Lesnar as challenger for the WWE Championship. For what it's worth, Reigns is 9/1 to be the 2022 Rumble winner.

On the topic of Lesnar - he's next up in the betting to be WWE Champion at the end of WrestleMania. His price was initially 10/1, but has now declined to 5/2 due - in part - to him being the present titleholder.

Seth Rollins, who Dave Meltzer reported was initially set to win the WWE Championship at Day One before Lesnar was added to the title match, remains at 4/1. You'll see - in the table below - that his odds slid into 4s from 6/1 a week after the market was first installed.

Current number one contender to the strap - Bobby Lashley - is 12/1. His odds have risen from an early 4/1.

WWE Smackdown Women's Championship
Kambi's market for the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship first opened with three ladies as 2/1 joint-favourites. Two of those names have now shortened while one has drifted out.

Sasha Banks is now 7/10 from 2/1 to be holding the title at the close of Mania weekend. She is currently injured and has jumped up to 17/1 in Kambi's Rumble winner market due to her status.

The other name with shorter odds than her opening 2/1 is the current champ - Charlotte Flair. She's now 8/5 and is set to be in the Rumble and is 9/1 to win it allowing her to choose a challenger for Mania.

Bayley, who was the third joint-favourite in November, is still on the injured list and has now risen to 10s.

There are other notable names added to the running. Alexa Bliss, who has returned to TV after taking time off, is 5/1. She could be the person who eliminates Charlotte Flair from the match as revenge for Flair tearing up Lilly the doll four months ago. Or she could go one better and win the Rumble (she's a 3/1 second-favourite) to set up a challenge against Flair.

Lita, who is returning to the Rumble in a storyline where she's looking to make one last run, is 15/1 to be the Smackdown Women's Champion at the end of Mania. As for the Rumble itself - she's one of two names to be tied for third in the betting at 7/1.

Bianca Belair is also on the list at 20/1. I surmise this is because she is a 5/2 favourite to do what she did last year and win the Royal Rumble.

WWE Raw Women's Champion
Should Bianca Belair win this year's Royal Rumble, it would make more sense for her to choose Becky Lynch to challenge. It would add to the story which first began at SummerSlam when Lynch upset Belair for the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship.

Using that logic, it is understandable to see Bianca Belair as Kambi's 3/5 favourite to be the Raw Women's Champion at the end of Mania weekend.

The current champion is a 13/10 second-favourite. She'd followed by the aforementioned Rumble second-favourite, Alexa Bliss who has had her price lowered from 15/1 into 6/1.

Other notables for this market are once again Lita (33/1) and Bayley (40/1) although - as mentioned above - the Raw title match for Mania does seem to point to Belair as Becky Lynch's challenger if going by everything that has happened since August.
