For a trial run, I have decided to do an MMA betting post on the weekend of some UFC shows where I'll point you to the bookmaker offering the best odds for each fighter on the main card.
I'm unsure how well this will go, but I'm hoping there is some sort of a crossover between WWE and UFC fans who might like to see where the best odds are.
Think of it like one of those posts I do on a WWE pay-per-view weekend. Only, this time, I do ONE post either on the Friday or Saturday of a UFC event.
The first weekend of doing this is an interesting one, as Pick TV over here in the UK has, err, picked the rights to air the UFC Fight Night 64 card that's taking place tomorrow night from Poland.
The main event of the evening sees Gabriel Gonzaga taking on Mirko Cro Cop in what will be their second fight (the first took place in Manchester in 2007, and was won by Gonzaga).
Below them on the card are: Joanne Calderwood taking on Maryna Moroz, Sheldon Westcott fighting Pawel Pawlak and Jimi Manuwa taking on the home underdog, Jan Blachowicz.
For each match, I will offer opinion of the price as well as inform what the best European and US-friendly bookmaker odds are for each fighter.
Calderwood is a strong favourite to win here. And rightfully so. Her current record is 9-0. Even though Moroz is also undefeated, I think the sportsbook's odds are right on with Calderwood.
The best prices you can find on Calderwood are:
2/11 with Bet365
- 900 with 5Dimes
The best odds for Moroz are:
11/2 with Sportingbet
+550 at either Bovada or 5Dimes

Joanne Calderwood .vs. Maryna Moroz

Sheldon Westcott .vs. Pawel Pawlak
Pawlak is the underdog here. He's coming in with a 10-1 career record and his opponent, Westcott, is coming in at 8-2-1. Both fighters lost their most recent bouts, so are both 0-1 in the UFC. My gut is telling me to take Pawlak.
Westcott's best odds are:
8/15 with Bet365
-210 with both Bovada and 5Dimes
Pawlak's odds:
13/8 Bet365
+175 5Dimes
Jimi Manuwa .vs. Jan Blachowicz
Manuwa has been chalked up as a fave. He's been on a decent run in the UFC having gone 3-1 (14-1 career). Blachowicz is 18-3. I can see this one going to Manuwa by TKO.
Manuwa's best price:
4/5 William Hill
-140 5Dimes
Blachowicz's best odds:
11/8 Sky Bet
+120 5Dimes
Gabriel Gonzaga .vs. Mirko Cro Cop
Cro Cop is underdog, and I cannot really make a case for him here. With that said, I will not be placing a bet on this bout.
Best Price for Cro Cop:
15/8 with BoyleSports
+180 5Dimes
Best odds on Gonzaga
1/2 Sky Bet, Paddy Power, William Hill and bwin
- 210 Bovada
Hope you enjoyed reading. If you are planning to bet on any of the fights, I wish you luck.
