WWE World Heavyweight Championship Reigns Betting

For the past few days, I have been going through the WWE betting specials that have been published over at 888Sport.com, Unibet.com and 32Red.com. In this post, I'm going to take a look at the 'Championship Reigns' markets that can be found on these websites.

There are five markets available in this category. The first allows the customer to wager on when they believe Roman Reigns' current WWE World Heavyweight Championship run comes to end. The other four markets focuses on Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose, John Cena and Seth Rollins giving wagerers the opportunity to predict when these individuals will become WWE World Heavyweight Champion within the next fourteen months or so.

The Roman Reigns to drop the WWE title market is showing the following options:

Before or on MITB (June 2016) 11/4
On Raw after MITB but before SummerSlam 2016 2/1
Between SummerSlam 2016 but before Survivor Series (2016) 6/4
Between Survivor Series but before Royal Rumble (2017) 6/1
Between Royal Rumble but before WrestleMania 33 10/1
During WrestleMania 33 14/1
No title loss until after WrestleMania 33 30/1

Of the six choices, the one I like the best is 'Between SummerSlam but before Survivor Series'. I won't be wagering on it, though.

The Brock Lesnar to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship options and odds are:

Before or on Money in the Bank 9/1
On Raw after MITB but before SummerSlam 2016 3/1
Between SummerSlam but before Survivor Series (2016) 5/2
Between Survivor Series but before Royal Rumble 2017 5/2
Between Royal Rumble 2017 but before WrestleMania 33 5/1
During WrestleMania 33 7/1
Between Raw after WrestleMania 33 and MITB (2017) 20/1
No title win before MITB 2017 11/1

I like 'No title win before MITB 2017' at 11/1 because of the limited schedule he works.

The Dean Ambrose market is showing:

Before or on MITB 2016 6/1
On Raw after MITB but before SummerSlam 2016 6/1
Between SummerSlam but before Survivor Series (2016) 10/1
Between Survivor Series but before Royal Rumble (2017) 10/1
Between Royal Rumble but before WrestleMania 33 14/1
During WrestleMania 33 10/1
Between Raw after WrestleMania 33 and MITB (2017) 15/2
No title win before MITB 2017 7/10

I don't know what to choose here. I think he might get a run with the title eventually, so I don't think the 'No title win before MITB 2017' is the way to go.

The John Cena market:

Before or on MITB 2016 14/1
On Raw after MITB but before SummerSlam 2016 4/1
Between SummerSlam but before Survivor Series 8/1
Between Survivor Series but before Royal Rumble 8/1
Between Royal Rumble but before WrestleMania 33 3/1
During WrestleMania 33 7/1
Between Raw after WrestleMania 33 and MITB 2017 8/1
No title win before MITB 2017 9/5

Unsure what to bet here. I wouldn't bet against him having another reign between now and Money in the Bank 2017 so those odds are kind of silly to me. For some reason, the 'Between Survivor Series but before Royal Rumble' is the selection that has me interested.

Seth Rollins' market has:

Before or on MITB 5/1
On Raw after MITB but before SummerSlam 2016 4/1
Between SummerSlam but before Survivor Series (2016) 2/1
Between Survivor Series but before Royal Rumble 2017 3/1
Between Royal Rumble 2017 but before WrestleMania 33 6/1
During WrestleMania 33 7/1
Between Raw after WrestleMania 33 and MITB 2017 20/1
No title win before MITB 2017 14/1

There's no doubt in my mind that Seth Rollins will return and regain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship by the end of this year. 'Between SummerSlam but before Survivor Series' is what I would do if I had to pick one.

I'll keep an eye on these markets and will remind myself to look through this post in months from now to see how I fared.

  1. With all this stuff happening between CM Punk and WWE, I have a eery feeling they will keep the title on Roman Reigns for a long time, long enough to beat CM Punk's record, and I have placed a punt on him not to lose the title until after Wrestlemania 33 at 30/1. Although I do still believe Seth Rollins has a good chance of re-capturing the title towards the end of this year, with how many times they've took title off Reigns it would be strange for him to lose it within a few months, and I can see WWE giving him it for a year especially if they turn him heel

    1. I don't see this WWE wanting to erase Punk's reign thing.

All the company has to do to disguise it is look to all the names above Punk. Sure, he did it in the 'modern era' but the guy to beat is Bruno Sammartino.

Sammartino is back on good terms with the company, so he's the name they care about and that record will not be beaten in this era.

    2. I believe the maim event at Wrestlemania 33 will Be ambrose vs Reigns (C) vs Rollins. With rollins winning royal rumble and ambrose doing a special cash in "to be part of reigns vs Rollins" as in announcing it a few raw before wrestlemania. This would be a good time to put any of them over
