Revisiting The Shane McMahon Prop Bet

It has been a fortnight since 888Sport.com, Unibet.com and 32Red.com released a market where customers could wager whether or not Shane McMahon taking a bump from the Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania. The betting appears to have gone the way of the 'No', but I haven't felt that this is the right option.

I had a discussion in the comments section in the March 20th Post Titled 'Shane McMahon's WrestleMania Odds Shorten Some More' after being asked whether I would have backed the 'Yes' or the 'No',

I hadn't bet at that point, but noted that I would have taken the 'Yes', The odds, when they were first published, had the 'Yes' 18/25 and the 'No' EVENS so was not keen to take the price at short odds.

My reasoning is simple - Shane McMahon is known for taking ridiculous bumps in matches.

The betting market now looks like this:

The 'Yes' at 3/1 is now more appealing, in my opinion.

Another thing that confirmed that it was time to bet was one sentence written by Dave Meltzer in his WrestleMania Diary over at F4WOnline.com today. It reads: 'As the story goes, there were practices for aspects of a big stunt on Sunday'.

I jumped to the conclusion that this has to be a part of the Hell in a Cell match.

Hasn't it!?

The market can be found under 'WWE' on the sportsbook menus at Unibet.com, 32Red.com and 888Sport.com. I recommend new customers to sign up to 888Sport because, at the time of publishing, 888 is doing an offer for new customers where you can get treble odds on your first wager. Therefore, if you back the 'Yes' at the current odds, you're looking at getting 9/1.
