Bovada's MITB 2016 Odds: Before & After

The Bovada and Bodog Sportsbooks have now taken down the Money in the Bank 2016 betting markets that had been available since WrestleMania week.

They were taken off the board overnight as I had a look over them just before I closed things up for the night. I was alerted to the closure when I was checking emails this morning.

Now that the book has closed, whether temporarily or permanently, I think it's worth comparing the opening odds to how they closed.

This is how the market looked on the week they were initially released:

And how they were a couple of days ago:

Concentrating only on the six entrants already confirmed for the match - the three runners who were not adjusted were: Kevin Owens (+400), Dean Ambrose (+500) and Cesaro (+1,000).

The prices for Sami Zayn and Alberto Del Rio had drifted from point one with Zayn moving out from +1,200 to +1,500 and the latter out to +3,500 from +2,500.

Chris Jericho's number had a steep fall from +7,500 to +3.300.

It's worth noting that the bets on Jericho winning this year's Money in the Bank ladder match came in after his victory over AJ Styles at WrestleMania but before his two recent PPV losses to Dean Ambrose as he was +3,300 when I tracked the markets in the hours leading into their match at Payback.

As noted above, I don't know if this is a permanent removal or whether the market will reopen with only seven runners. You can check for yourself below:

  1. Same guy here who mentioned the Bovada lines pulled and Jericho changes. Could you see Jericho winning the match he created? I don't believe he was ever won the match he MITB he invented. That could be a new storyline they run with. I don't see

    1. Anything can happen. I wouldn't have called it if anyone had asked me months ago as I have been high on Owens, Wyatt, Balor and had even pegged Apollo Crews this week.

I've just published a newer post below. Thanks for alerting me to the odds being taken down, I wouldn't have noticed until later on this evening.

The new post is: Is Chris Jericho Winning MITB?
