Ladbrokes MITB 2016 Situation Resolved

Ladbrokes has now paid out in full the 8/1 bet that I placed on Seth Rollins to defeat Roman Reigns in the Money in the Bank main event last night.

Earlier today, I noticed that the firm had only given me 67p profit from the bet and I queried it. I was told that Rollins was supposed to have been 1/3 at the point my bet was struck.

After some help, I was able to make a case that Rollins was available as an outsider everywhere else and prove that Ladbrokes was still offering Rollins at 8/1 minutes after my bet placement.

If you are still looking for your bets to be cashed out at the price you took, I recommend getting in touch with the LadbrokesCare handle on Twitter. In my opinion, they seem to be more on the ball than the live chat team.

Thanks to all who helped out with advice or showed support on Twitter and the comments section.

  2. Glad to see you get your money back, David. But this almost annoys me even more. It's good to know that they've recognised their mistake, but it seems they only give money back to people who individually contact them on twitter because I haven't been given my money back yet. By giving you and others their money back, they're admitting it was their fault. Yet, rather than just rectifying all of the bets, they only do it to people who complain on twitter. They have no problem defrauding people unless you go public with it. Even then, it took them over 12 hours to admit fault, before they'd just lie to you, then ignore you. I actually did complain on twitter but that was during their ignoring stage, before their admittance stage and after their lying stage so they didn't do shit. I'm sure I'll be able to get my money now but either way, Ladbrokes are still scumbags.

    1. You're right. They absolutely should credit accounts without people having to chase them up.
I had told them this when I spoke with their customer service team this afternoon upon noticing that they still hadn't refunded me when others were getting credited.

Also, they haven't recognised their mistake. They're blaming it on an error, so they're still distancing themselves from liability. The monies are being returned as a goodwill gesture.

  3. That is good you got it resolved, Mr Taylor. We should stick together when atrocities like these occur. Together we are strong.

    1. Settling bets is one thing. There's no way we can change their stance on limits.

  4. Glad you got your money! I was able to snatch Rollins at +700 in two different accounts so made $1400 on that one match alone. I wish I wouldn't had hedged at all last night. Got scared due to the lucha dragons match but was still able to make over $2000USD so I'm happy. Looking forward to the next PPV!

  5. Disgusting they didn't pay out when everybody else did. I had 7/1 on 888sport and 4/1 on Betfair and both paid out minutes before the flip

  7. I'm looking for a website tool that will notify me immediately when a site like this update... or a chat we can hang around in on weekends to notify each other when we spot odds changes. Making a fortune is a matter of being able to react within minutes and seconds.

    1. The website tool is a very bad idea for obvious reasons.
