Reigns & Rollins Dip In Battleground 2016 Betting

Roman Reigns - and Seth Rollins to a minor extent - have had their prices shortened in the Battleground 2016 main event betting market at 5Dimes.com.

Reigns, who will wrestle the aforementioned Rollins and WWE Champion, Dean Ambrose, in the triple threat match is now a +380 outsider. He had been +435 late last night. His price has fallen the most ever since odds for the bout were installed nearly two days ago.

Seth Rollins' number is now at +230. This is a minor dip from the +235 he was at 11pm BST.

Ambrose's number has been improved from -160. He's now priced up at -145.

A case could be made that the Reigns and Rollins interest is due to reports that WWE does not plan to have a second world title until at least SummerSlam. I have been anticipating the introduction of a second world title as soon as the brand split was made, and am still expecting a controversial finish on Sunday regardless of the reports out there. One scenario I have visualized is having one of the Raw wrestlers and Dean Ambrose pin the second Raw wrestler with both arguing the point that they're the world champion.

Another notion I can see is that either of the Raw wrestlers pins the other to win the title. This will give Smackdown - and Ambrose - an out by acknowledging that the champion wasn't pinned or submitted in the three-way. If the report is accurate, and the title will not split over the weekend, then it makes sense for Rollins or Reigns to leave Battleground as the champion.

Additionally, the sportsbook has added two more match markets to its lineup for Sunday. They are:

Becky Lynch -185
Natalya +145

Rusev -1050
Zack Ryder +550

All other markets remain as they were yesterday.

Odds correct as of 9am BST. The latest can be viewed under 'Other Sports' on the betting board at 5Dimes.com.
