Here's a thought:
What if this whole Rock and Vin Diesel feud is a PR stunt to set up a match at WrestleMania? Fast 8 comes out a week or so after the event too.
There are a lot of people out there who believe this is a work for Mania. On one hand, it could be argued that it is. Dwayne Johnson is very savvy with how he appears in the media. Doing what he did is a very rare guard drop that should raise a flag.
If it is a work, and it is setting up Rock .vs. Vin Diesel at WrestleMania, then the 'Rock to be in the main event at WrestleMania' bets that I have been placing at Betfair.com will be done for as this match is at best the penultimate fixture of the night even though it'll be the biggest from a mainstream point of view.
It could also be a work to set up Vin Diesel as the corner-man of someone who's facing The Rock, or both could be corner-men of two other wrestlers.
If it's real, it's safe to conclude there won't be a match at WrestleMania 33 although there would be massive interest in some sort of interaction between the two now that this is out there.
I'm on the 'Real' side of the fence until I see more hints to sway me.
