More SummerSlam 2016 Bookmakers

888Sport.com and all of the bookmakers on this list have, as of this evening, opened a book on this year's SummerSlam PPV.

As of the time of publishing, there are five match markets on the board. There are also a handful of prop markets available for the meeting between Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton.

The WWE Intercontinental Championship market is showing Apollo Crews as a 1/2 favourite to defeat The Miz. A winning punt on the titleholder will pay out at odds of 7/5.

Sasha Banks is a short 1/15 to retain the WWE Women's Championship over former champ - Charlotte. The challenger is 6/1.

WWE World Champion - Dean Ambrose - is a 2/15 favourite to go over Dolph Ziggler (4/1).

The WWE Universal Championship decider market has Finn Balor at 3/5 while Seth Rollins is out at 6/5.

And then there's the Brock Lesnar versus Randy Orton markets.

Firstly, the general match winner odds have 'The Beast' down as a 1/4 fave. A win by Orton will pay out at 5/2.

As noted, there are many prop specials for this battle. I'll go through each market individually.

Brock Lesnar to kick out of an RKO

The 'Yes' is 2/5, the 'No' is 7/4.

I'd go for the 'Yes', but unsure whether I'll bet it.

Total number of suplexes delivered by Brock Lesnar during the match (to Randy Orton)

This is an over/under with the line set at 10.5 suplexes. Both options are available at 17/20 to start off with.

Total number of F5's delivered by Brock Lesnar during the match (to Randy Orton)

There are three options here. They are:

0-1 6/4
Exactly 2 13/20
3 or more 2/1

Total number of RKOs delivered by Randy Orton during the match (to Brock Lesnar)

Just like with the F5 market, there are three choices.

Zero 7/2
Exactly 1 3/10
2 or more 2/1

For what it's worth, I like the 2 or more and will back this option as soon as I hit 'publish'. Just don't get in there before I do.

I left one last and it's because I have an opinion on it which should act as a deterrent.

Brock Lesnar to break the record for most suplexes in a single match (16 vs John Cena at SummerSlam 2014)

The 'Yes' has been set at 5/2 and I am avoiding this one like it's the plague.

The SummerSlam 2014 match was done to make Lesnar the monster heel to set him up to fall to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 31, so John Cena was put in the spot to look extremely weak (Daniel Bryan was the original plan to be the loser here, but he was injured). Anyway, there is no way they're going to make Randy Orton look like this in a time when they need him to come out of this match strong as he's going to be one of the top stars on Smackdown. Add in the fact that John Cena will be taking time off to film the second season of America Grit, so Smackdown will need a top tier babyface alongside Dean Ambrose post-SummerSlam and into 2017. I cannot see them using Randy Orton as a suplex dummy.

If you want an even bigger, and obvious, reason - Orton has just returned from a lengthy layoff. It would be a hazard to have him take bumps like Cena took two years ago.

And there you have it, As noted, all the markets can be found at 888Sport.com and the websites that are listed on this page.
