Strowman Industry Favourite To Eliminate The Most In The 2017 Royal Rumble

Braun Strowman is a clear favourite to eliminate the most wrestlers in this year's Royal Rumble.

There are two sports betting firms with markets where customers can bet on the former Wyatt Family member being the most dominant participant in the battle royal. Both companies opened with him as the favourite.

It was PaddyPower.com that priced up a market first. The traders put Strowman out at 3/1 on December the 19th. Then - within a day - his price had been snipped to 11/4. The drop continues.

Over at Betfair.com, the traders published a similar market earlier this week. They had Strowman at 6/5 on Monday, but have now moved him down a tad.

Both firms now have him at even money.

Strowman isn't the only selection whose number has dropped in the weeks, and days, that I've been following the two bookies' odds.

Baron Corbin, who was added to PaddyPower.com's market as an 8/1 shot on December 20th, is now down to 5/1. Betfair also had him at 8s, but he's plummeted to 3/1 within five days.

Two other options that have had their prices cut with Paddy Power are Finn Balor and The Undertaker. The former has dropped from 10/1 into 7s while The Undertaker's number has been cut from 18/1 into 14s,

One name that stands out to me is Samoa Joe. I had requested his appearance in this market after Paddy Power released its odds last month. The traders put him out at 8/1 the following morning. I took the price, but it's now out to 10/1. I have placed another wager on him.

Having Joe make his main roster debut and have a good showing in the Royal Rumble would be a nice way to bring him up from NXT.

Betfair's Royal Rumble markets are found under 'Special Bets' on the sportsbook menu at Betfair.com.
