Samoa Joe Cut To 7/1, Where To Find Him At 8s

Ladbrokes.com has now cut Samoa Joe's odds to win the 2017 WWE Royal Rumble from 10/1 into 7s. This now means the best available price for him to win the 29th January battle royal is 8/1.

There are a handful of firms with him at this number. They are: Betfair, Coral, Paddy Power and Sky Bet. I'll put links below for new customers to get welcome bonuses when they sign up.

I published a post earlier today noting that Samoa Joe is now my favourite to walk out of San Antonio as the 2017 Royal Rumble winner.

  1. My thoughts on Mr Taylor's list:

    1. Joe Shmoe - he's going to be in there with some real studs (Goldberg, Lesnar, Undertaker, Strowman, Corbin, and maybe even Reigns). Aesthetically it will hurt the eye to see this guy be the last one standing. The "huge match at WrestleMania" is either a ruse or he's taking on one of the bullies in Strowman/Corbin.
    2. Strowman - despite being pushed so hard he's still way too green and doesn't draw enough to hold a world title. He'll get a marquee win at WM so that his character can continue to grow but won't be anywhere near a world title for some time to come.
    3. Undertaker - they don't let wrestlers who've been a part-timer for well over a decade win Rumbles. HBK didn't win any when he was a part-timer, and neither did Hogan/Flair. The catch-22 here is that the babyface has already promised he'll win. Under normal circumstances this is enough to at least consider betting on Undertaker winning the Rumble. Corey Graves decided to ruin this however, by running his mouth and suggest that it's already a foregone conclusion that Undertaker will win. Undertaker is not winning, and whoever eliminates him probably sets up a "huge match at WrestleMania".
    4. Balor - I'll eat my hat if this happens! By all accounts the Irishman is still injured and it makes no sense to rush him back when there's no "revenge" factor for him in this Rumble. Plus, once Balor makes it back sometime after WM he can claim that he never lost the Universal title and should be getting an immediate title match. The WWE writers love these type of scenarios where the program writes itself and they don't have to come up with an elaborate storyline to re-introduce him.

For now I'll suggest this is a horrible list, Mr Taylor. Two of your candidates aren't even likely to be in the match!

I was under the impression that since the SD team won at Survivor Series, the RR winner would have to go to someone from RAW... but I can't see anyone other than Jericho with a shot from RAW. This leaves me to look at SD for the winner.

    1. I actually think some of your ideas are horrible, too.

    2. By the way, couldn't you have left this reaction in the post where it matters:

  2. I don't think Joe will win but I do think he will eliminate someone big.
