Strowman And Hogan Backed In Andre The Giant Battle Royal Betting

Braun Strowman and Hulk Hogan have been the early movers in Paddy Power's Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal outright winner market.

The oddsmakers opened a book on the match, which should take place at WrestleMania 33, a few days ago.

When the market launched, Braun Strowman was a favourite to overcome all of the compeition and become the fourth holder of the Andre the Giant Memorial Trophy. His price was at EVENS, but has now been snipped into 5/6.

Hulk Hogan - who is still on the outs with WWE - is the only other selection to be cut. His price has came in from 50/1 to 33s.

Hogan is one of a few names that I have backed since the market was published. I've also sided with Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura.

I went with Hogan because there have been subtle signs that WWE is on the verge of bringing him back after his dismissal during the summer of 2015. Having him return as a surprise in the battle royal could be one way to reintroduce him.

My wager on Balor was placed before reports of him appearing in house shows in March started doing the rounds. If Balor is back on TV before WrestleMania, I doubt he'll be in the battle royal.

Shinsuke Nakamura will likely be brought up to the main roster soon. I guess he'll challenge Bobby Roode for the NXT title at TakeOver: Orlando on April 1st and - after that - be introduced to either Raw or Smackdown. One route to take is to have the NXT departee come in and win the battle royal. The only drawback is this trick was done last year with Baron Corbin.

The market can be found alongside other WWE WrestleMania 33 specials on Paddy Power's WWE Betting Page
