WrestleMania 33 Prop Bets : Rollins .vs. HHH

As noted earlier today, the Kambi oddsmakers have a handful of prop bets for WrestleMania 33 matches and I plan to spotlight some of them throughout the day.

In this post, I'll look at what's on the board for the Seth Rollins .vs. Triple H match.

The sportsbooks have four specials available.

Match Duration From Bell-to-Bell
This is an over/under where the traders have set the bar at 16:30 minutes. The 16:30 or over is EVENS and the 16:29 or less is 16:29.

Tough call. I can really see this one going either way, so I am not compelled to bet on it.

Listed Occurrence To Happen During The Match
There are four selections on offer here, but the odds are extremely short.

Crutch Used As A Weapon 1/10
Samoa Joe To Interfere 1/5
Seth Rollins To Curb Stomp HHH 33/50
Sledgehammer Used As A Weapon 1/7

I like the chance of all of the selections coming in. The odds not so much.

First Of Listed Moves To Be Performed First
Customers can have a bet on which move will be executed first in the match. The two options are:

Spinning Spinebuster (HHH) 1/2
Turnbuckle Powerbomb (Rollins) 7/5

Participant To Obtain First 'Near' Fall
This will be settled on the first wrestler who gets at least a two count on their opponent. The odds are as follows:

Seth Rollins 7/4
Triple H 2/5

I like the 7/4 for Rollins to get the first near fall. I understand why the bookies have Triple H down as the favourite, but I can't help but feel that there will be a lot of close calls made in this match. People are expecting Rollins to win, so what they could do is have Rollins get the first near fall and have Hunter kick out for the surprise reaction. Then go from there.

After writing what I have above, I convinced myself to back Rollins to get the first near fall at 7/4.

  1. Just be careful betting on the 'near fall', rules are as follows:

Bet refers to the first participant which through a 'cover' of any sort during a pinfall attempt, manages to keep his opponent(s) down for a clear count of at least 2 by the referee before said count is subsequently interrupted for any reason. Submissions do not count. Bets void if no near falls are performed during the match.

So basically, it's just the first to obtain any kind of 2 count, rather than a close call.

    2. I suppose I just mean that your reason for picking Rollins, while is very true, many normal boring 2 counts could come before hand.
