Universal Champion After SummerSlam 2017 Odds

In the most recent post, I noted that the oddsmakers from Kambi had either published, or republished, a plethora of WWE betting odds. One of the new markets on-site allows customers to wager on who they believe will walk out of SummerSlam 2017 as WWE Universal Champion.

The current titleholder, Brock Lesnar, is a 3/10 favourite. He's followed by Roman Reigns at 7/4, Braun Strowman at 7/2, John Cena at 10/1 and Samoa Joe, who's also at 10s.

It makes sense for Lesnar to be number one as we currently don't know for sure whether the decision has been made to go with Lesnar versus Reigns at SummerSlam instead of WrestleMania 34.

If it is Lesnar .vs. Reigns on August 20th, then Reigns a second-favourite in this market is understandable.

I've written in previous posts that I still have a feeling that Braun Strowman will be Lesnar's challenger at the Summer event. However, I think he's unlikely to win the match.

Samoa Joe being the titleholder at the close of SummerSlam is also unlikely, in my opinion. As is John Cena.

The only two selections I can make a case for are Lesnar (if WWE is still on course for Lesnar .vs. Reigns at Mania and Braun Strowman is Lesnar's SummerSlam rival) or Reigns (if WWE has changed direction).
