  1. AJ's shoulder was up. If the finish is overturned on SD, will they settle the match in AJ's favor?

    1. No, markets are settled on the result at the end of the broadcast.

    2. The finish was designed so that on Smackdown we will see a still image of both their shoulders down so AJ should still be champion and KO will have to give him the title back which will set up another match etc.

Unfortunately it means KO still wins here, even if the result gets overturned due to the above rule.

    3. That's incredibly frustrating, but I understand that's how it works. I haven't seen a clear favorite lose like this in a very long time.

    4. The last time I remember was maybe Tyler Breeze against Dolph Ziggler a loooong time ago... I'm not counting Undertaksr/Lesnar because Lesnar had heavy bets before the PPV/Match unlike KO here.

  2. This has got to be a last minute change otherwise odds would not have changed as much...there have been these instances previously and i'm sure wwe keep an eye on odds to throw a curve ball

    1. Read a bit about it today and AJ was meant to have won, so it was a botched finish.

    2. David, would you mind providing a link to where you saw that?

    3. People were discussing it on Twitter this morning but - after posting my comment - someone else brought up to me that he thinks it was a set up for KO vs Shane McMahon feud.

    4. I just read that the original plan was to have AJ kick out, confusion to reign, and Shane to come out and restart the match, leading to AJ winning clean and retaining the title. So perhaps it was both a botched finish AND a set up for an eventual Shane vs. Owens match, which seems highly plausible. We'll find out more tomorrow night.

    5. Interesting. This would explain why they had the graphic ready stating that Owens was US Champion as well.
