Money In The Bank Prop Bets Update For July 4th

With this week's WWE Smackdown airing later on, I thought I'd have a look at the Money in the Bank markets that are up on the websites that have Kambi betting odds in order to have a record of all the prices before they're taken down.

The markets were republished on June 28th and will likely be removed ahead of tonight's Smackdown. They're sure to be put back up at a later point, but I wanted to go through them as of this evening.

I'll start with the men's markets as I think the women's market is the most interesting.

Show Of Briefcase Cash-in (Men)
This market was priced up with two offerings 'Raw/Smackdown' and 'PPV/WWE Network Special (any other show)'. The odds haven't changed since they were first installed. The former is 3/1 and the PPV/WWE Network offering is 1/3.

Date Of Men's Cash-In
The market lost a selection after there was no cash-in 'During Money in the Bank', so the new prices - that were published on June 28th - are:

- Between 1st day after MITB but before SummerSlam 2/1 (was 17/20)
- During SummerSlam EVS (has been cut from 7/2)
- Between 1st day after SummerSlam but before Survivor Series EVS (was 17/20)
- Between Survivor Series but before Royal Rumble 4/1 (Cut from 7/1)
- During Royal Rumble 4/1 (Cut from 7/1)
- Between 1st day after Royal Rumble but before WrestleMania 34 10/1 (No change)
- During WrestleMania 34 15/1 (Up from 14/1)
- On 1st day after WrestleMania 34 or later 8/1 (cut from 10/1)

The prices haven't changed since the market's republication.

Briefcase Cash-in To Be Successful (Men)
This market is a proposition where the bookmaker asks the customer whether they believe the men's briefcase cash-in will be successful. Therefore, it'll pay out on whether Baron Corbin - or whoever is Mr. Money in the Bank - when the contract is executed and the bell rings to start the match. If the person who has cashed in the title shot wins the match, anyone that backed 'Yes' will be awarded odds of 1/4. If the cash-in is not successful, then - if you backed 'No' - you're looking at a payout at a price of 5/2.
If you had looked through the market on the night of the PPV, you could have found the 'No' at 5/1, so the odds for the male cash-in have been halved since then. If you wanted to take the 'Yes' option back then, you would have had shorter odds than today. They had been 1/10.

Date Of Women's Cash-in
Just like with the men's market, the oddsmakers have published a selection of time-frames where clients can wager on when Carmella - or whoever is in possession of the briefcase - strikes up her contract for an immediate title shot. Unlike the men's market, this one wasn't published until after the pay-per-view. The odds are the same today as they were when it was first installed last week. They are:

- Between 1st day after MITB 2017 but before SummerSlam 5/4
- During SummerSlam 5/4
- Between 1st day after SummerSlam but before Survivor Series EVS
- Between Survivor Series but before WrestleMania 34 3/1
- During WrestleMania 34 10/1
- On 1st day after WrestleMania 34 or later 10/1

Show Of Briefcase Cash-in (Women)
This is interesting, yet explainable.

The market was first installed on the night of the Money in the Bank pay-per-view and the traders had 'Raw/Smackdown' at 3/1 while the option to back a PPV/WWE Network special or any other venue to hold the cash-in favoured at 1/5.
Following Carmella's controversial win at the PPV, the company put a rematch on live TV the following week. In my opinion, if they're going to give away a women's Money in the Bank ladder match on TV, there's a good chance they'll have the cash-in on TV as well. I guess that's what the punters are also thinking as they have backed the 2/1 for it to be on 'Raw/Smackdown' into 7/5 within the last six days.

Briefcase Cash-in To Be Successful (Women)
There were peculiar wagers placed on the women's Money in the Bank match winner to have an unsuccessful cash-in on the Sunday ahead of the PPV. In hindsight, I can't help but feel that people with inside knowledge, who knew the match would be redone the following week, bet on an unsuccessful cash-in under the belief that the wager would win due to Carmella's victory being wiped two days later. It's the only logical explanation I can find because - going in - I think everyone would assume the first-ever women's Money in the Bank winner has to have a successful cash-in to get the gimmick over.
Just like with the other markets, Kambi's odds for a successful or unsuccessful cash-in were republished last Wednesday with the 'Successful (Yes)' option a 1/10 favourite and the opposite view was out at 5/1. Within the six days it has been up, the punters have moved 'Yes' from the 1/10 into 1/13 while the 'No' has been moved up to 11/2 from the aforementioned 5/1.
It could come back to haunt me, but I am almost certain the punters who took the 'Yes' have backed the right side. Time is going to tell on that one.

As noted, the market will likely be taken down just before tonight's show, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them up again in the near future. That is, of course, if there hasn't been a cash-in in the meantime.

When available, you'll find the markets on THESE WEBSITES. There are a couple of links to some of the pages below:
