No Mercy 2017 WON Star Ratings Markets Published

The oddsmakers from Kambi have published betting odds for the upcoming WWE No Mercy 2017 PPV (read about them in this post) and - along with the regular match odds - are specials where customers can have a bet on how Dave Meltzer rates the bouts in his review of the event in the issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that will be released in the days following the event.

As of the time of writing, there are only two markets on-site. One is for the WWE Universal Championship match  while the other is for the meeting between John Cena and Roman Reigns.

The traders have changed things up this time. For previous events, the over/under markets gave punters one of two options. We now have to pick between three.

Here's what they have for the Universal Championship match:

As you can see in the image above, you can choose to bet 'Over 4.0 Stars' at 6/4, 'Exactly 4.0 Stars' at 17/20 or 'Under 4.0 Stars' also at 6/4.

The line for the Roman Reigns versus John Cena match is slightly higher as they have set it at four-and-a-quarter stars.

All three options are 5/4 in this market.

Every now and again, I find myself pointing out how 'spot on' the Kambi oddsmaker's lines are with what I think. I'm in the same ballpark with him here as well.

As of right now, I don't plan to bet on either of these markets but I do find myself leaning on 'Exactly' in both.

  1. Its a good move for the traders but not for punters. I bet if you went back and looked Dave they mostly got beat on the unders. With a third option and with 133% books they are turning the tide :(
