Miz And Orton Backed In Mania 34 Betting

The Miz and Randy Orton have been backed to retain their respective WWE championships in a couple of WrestleMania 34 specials that were published by the Kambi oddsmakers yesterday afternoon.

Miz, who is scheduled to defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Finn Balor and Seth Rollins on April 8th, was installed at 4/1 in the market where customers have to bet on the wrestler they believe will leave New Orleans as Intercontinental Champion. As of the time of writing, the titleholder has dropped into 13/4.

Finn Balor is still the favourite. However, his odds have moved up slightly going from 4/5 to 17/20.

Seth Rollins has also drifted. He remains second-favourite, but he is now at 11/10. This is an improvement from EVS.

Randy Orton who - as of the time of writing - is reportedly set to defend the WWE US Championship against both Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal, has moved in from 5/4 to EVS in the market where customers can bet on who they think will be the titleholder as the show goes off the air.

Former champ - Bobby Roode - has drifted to 15/4 from 7/2 while Mahal has moved from 7/10 to 17/20.

For what it's worth, I can understand why Orton's price has dropped (I was one of the backers). He has only just won the US Championship and - after losing the WWE Championship and having other losses to Mahal last summer - I believe Orton going over, at the expense of Mahal, is how the match should go at Mania (if it happens!).

  1. How many heels can you see going over on the card? I’ve had a crack at Miz, can’t see many others likely (especially with what looks like 2, maybe 3, face v face matches)

    1. Looks quite thin for heel wins.
Carmella cashing in on Charlotte (after Asuka wins by DQ) is another one if that's what they go for.
I like your Miz pick, by the way.

  2. Miz steals it, then could definitely see a Balor v Rollins program continue (which really doesn’t need the IC belt involved)

    1. I could see either one challenging Reigns for the Universal title after Mania.

    2. With Reigns as heel of course. Right, Vince?
