Styles Falls Into Backlash Favouritism And More

It has been a little over twelve hours since I last checked in with the 5Dimes Sportsbook's betting markets for tomorrow night's WWE Backlash 2018 PPV. In this time, AJ Styles has fallen from underdog to favourite.

As of the time of writing, the WWE Champion is -190 to get a decision over Shinsuke Nakamura in the no disqualification match on tomorrow's card. He was up at +160 when I last recorded his odds.

With Styles being cut, the oddsmakers have pushed Nakamura from -210 favourite into +150.

Styles' backing is the biggest news of my visit. However, there are other wrestlers whose odds have taken a cut overnight.

WWE Intercontinental Champion, Seth Rollins, went from -600 into -870 while his challenger, The Miz, has drifted from +400 to +490.

Nia Jax's odds to successfully retain the WWE Raw Women's Championship have declined from -750 to -900 while Alexa Bliss has moved to +500 from +450.

Finally, Roman Reigns has been backed from -600 into -900 for his meeting with Samoa Joe. A win for the latter will pay out at odds of +500. He was previously +400.

The rest of the board is showing the same pricing as last night. For those who may have missed it, here's what they're offering:

Strowman and Lashley -475
Owens and Zayn +325

Daniel Bryan -280
Big Cass +200

Carmella -120
Charlotte Flair -120

Prices correct as of 8:30AM BST. For the latest, check out the 5Dimes Website.

  1. I think it's obvious that styles will win after Samoa Joe's segment. Also Nakamura was strong on go home episode which means he might lose at PPV

I think styles will win and triple threat match at next PPV

    What do you think ?

    1. I wrote earlier this week that Joe being inserted into the title picture at this stage was interesting.
I no longer live and die by who's booked the strongest on go-home shows, so we'll see!
I like your idea of the triple threat.

  3. Nakamura will never be wwe champion. We just have to accept that at this point. Shame too.
