The Kambi oddsmakers have released Wrestling Observer Newsletter star ratings specials ahead of this weekend's WWE Backlash pay-per-view.
Just like in previous months, customers of the sportsbooks and casinos that publish Kambi's markets have the option to guess how the Newsletter's editor - Dave Meltzer - will rate the matches on Sunday's card.
There are two kinds of markets available as of right now. The first is an outright where people can guess which match earns the most stars in Meltzer's review of Backlash 2018 (this is scheduled to be published on Thursday morning) and there are a plethora of over/under specials where you can bet whether a specific match is rated over, under or exactly on the line the bookie has set.
The image above (courtesy of Mr Green's WWE Betting Page) shows the 'Highest Rated Match On The Card' market. It lists 'WWE Championship' (Styles .vs. Nakamura) as a 3/5 favourite. Next up, in order of appearance, is 'Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe' at 9/4 while 'Any Other Match' is a 6/4 second-fave.
The bookies have set up the following lines for the matches on card. As noted, the customers have the opportunity to wager on the match receiving more, less or exactly the amount that the bookie has guessed.
Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley .vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn - 2.75 Stars
Daniel Bryan .vs. Big Cass - 3.25 Stars
Seth Rollins .vs. The Miz - 3.5 Stars
Nia Jax .vs. Alexa Bliss - 2.5 Stars
Roman Reigns .vs. Samoa Joe - 3.75 Stars
Carmella .vs. Charlotte Flair - 2.25 Stars
AJ Styles .vs. Shinsuke Nakamura - 3.75 Stars
Jeff Hardy .vs. Randy Orton - 3.25 Stars
I'll write more about these markets at other points throughout the weekend.
