Pre-Smackdown SummerSlam 2018 Odds

I've visited the 5Dimes Sportsbook's website to make note of the current WWE SummerSlam 2018 betting odds ahead of tonight's episode of Smackdown. There is only one market showing different prices to when I looked through the website this morning.

The market in question is the one for Seth Rollins' Intercontinental Championship challenge against Dolph Ziggler.

Date/Time
Dolph Ziggler
Seth Rollins
5/8 12:45PM
+160
-210
6/8 10:30PM
+205
-285
14/8 11:00PM
+165
-215

Ziggler had been a +205 underdog for days until finally being lowered to +165 today. Seth Rollins remains a favourite, but he has drifted out from -285 to -215.

The build for this match was given the main event slot of last night's Raw. This is because they reintroduced Dean Ambrose. He'll be in Rollins' corner on Sunday.

The obvious assumption, based on who has been backed today, is that the fans have backed Ziggler to successfully retain the strap following Ambrose turning on his friend. Personally, I believe it's too soon for Ambrose to turn even though I think it's inevitable due to the belief that Ambrose versus Rollins was originally scheduled to take place at WrestleMania 34 before the former was injured.

Here are all the other prices.

Finn Balor -230
Baron Corbin +170

Shinsuke Nakamura -265
Jeff Hardy +185

Cedric Alexander -120
Drew Gulak -120

Carmella Wins Triple Threat +115
Field Wins Triple Threat (.vs. Carmella) -155
Becky Lynch Wins Triple Threat +185
Charlotte Flair Wins Triple Threat +235

Daniel Bryan +125
The Miz -165

Braun Strowman -300
Kevin Owens +220

Bludgeon Bros. -140
New Day +100

AJ Styles -195
Samoa Joe +155

Alexa Bliss +400
Ronda Rousey -600

Brock Lesnar +220
Roman Reigns -300
