Kambi Publishes A Few Observer Markets For Survivor Series

The Kambi oddsmakers have published a few Wrestling Observer Star Ratings markets for tomorrow night's WWE Survivor Series PPV.

As of the time of writing, there are Over/Under markets for three matches that are scheduled for tomorrow night. The matches that are covered, along with the lines, are:

Ronda Rousey .vs. Charlotte Flair: 4 Stars
Seth Rollins .vs. Shinsuke Nakamura: 4 Stars
Brock Lesnar .vs. Daniel Bryan: 4.25 Stars

I personally think the star rating line for the Lesnar .vs. Bryan match has been set too high, but I can see why it has been set at this number.

Back in 2014, Lesnar was set to face Daniel Bryan at SumerSlam 2014. Vince McMahon wanted the bout to be a squash. However, Bryan was forced to relinquish the WWE Championship due to injury a few weeks before this and John Cena ended up with the title. The story that McMahon wanted to tell stayed the same with Lesnar squashing Cena instead. The bookie must think tomorrow night's match will be similar as they've set their line at the rating Dave Meltzer gave it over four years ago - 4.25 stars.

To strengthen my assumption that the bookmaker has used Lesnar .vs. Cena as their guide for their book is to look at the line for the 'Match Duration'. It's set at 16. The SummerSlam match, according to Wikipedia, went 16:05.

I've backed Under 4.25 Stars in the star rating market and the Under in the 'Time Duration' market because I feel that - even though I sense that it will be a squash - I think it'll be closer to the Lesnar .vs Strowman match from Crown Jewel rather than when Cena was Lesnar's opponent in August of 2014.

The Strowman match received one star and the time went 3:16. Even if I am wrong and it turns out to be longer than Lesnar's Crown Jewel match, sixteen seems way too high.
