Sky Bet Publishes TLC Smackdown Women's Championship Market

Sky Bet has opened a book on the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship match that is scheduled to take place in a little over two weeks at WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2018.

The match - which will see Becky Lynch defend the strap against Charlotte Flair and Asuka - will be contested under Tables, Ladders and Chairs rules.

I was surprised to see the odds when I came across them as Becky Lynch is a 2/5 favourite. Flair - who I think should be the fave - is in second at 3/1 with Asuka at 6s.

A win for Charlotte Flair could allow for a meeting with Ronda Rousey at the Royal Rumble. Barring an upset against Nia Jax - or anyone else along the road to the Rumble - Rousey should still be holding the Raw Women's Championship by late-January. If Flair is in possession of Smackdown's title, then that would nicely set up a rematch from the Survivor Series of the champions and give room for Becky to win the women's Royal Rumble and then go on to meet Rousey at WrestleMania.

That's the logical conclusion I've reached based on the reports that the plan is for Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch to go at it at Mania.

One of the long-shot scenarios I thought of after watching last night's Smackdown had Asuka winning the championship at Tables, Ladders and Chairs and then have Flair and Lynch wind up as joint-winners of the Royal Rumble to set up a triple threat match at Mania.

I could go on with an even longer shot - Ronda Rousey loses her strap to Nia Jax at TLC, Flair wins hers, then Ronda goes on to be the last person standing in the Royal Rumble and decides to go for Charlotte Flair.

Notice something? All of these scenarios I've thought up have someone other than Becky Lynch leaving TLC with the title. That's why I am surprised to see her as a favourite to retain on December 16th.
