Final Rumble Ramblings Ahead Of Sunday's PPV

As I mentioned in this morning's post, I have now watched the final build for this year's Royal Rumble show. Therefore, it's time to lock in my picks to win both of battle royals that are set for Sunday.

I've written a couple of Rumble Ramblings post since Christmas Day. Both posts had Seth Rollins as my pick to win the men's battle royal.

He still is my number one to be victorious when all is said and done on Sunday night. His promo on this week's episode of Raw - where he vowed to win the match - enhanced my confidence even more.

On Christmas Day, I picked John Cena as the 'Dark Horse'. Then, a few weeks after that, I found out that a plan for WrestleMania 35 was to have Cena lock up with a main roster debuting Lars Sullivan. This match could potentially be off. The take away from it having been the plan in the first place is that the company evidently didn't have Cena in either of the title matches for the big show.

Whether the Cena .vs. Sullivan plan has changed is yet to be seen. Going by this week's TV, with the company claiming Cena injured his ankle in last week's match, I could see Drew McIntyre becoming Cena's WrestleMania dance partner if Sullivan is no longer in line for that role.

Braun Strowman was another name that I had pointed out in the latter part of last year. He - along with Cena - are behind Rollins in Sky Bet's outright winner market.

I really cannot see beyond Rollins at this point.

Another idea that seemed to be consistent for most of my Royal Rumble posts was the thought that the women's battle royal should be won by both Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. However, I stated that - if there is going to be one winner - it should be Charlotte and then have Becky Lynch added to make it a triple threat match against Ronda Rousey somewhere between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.

One way I've thought of to end the battle royal -and to make it a Flair and Lynch result - is to have Ronda Rousey interfere by tossing them both out at the same time. We've seen Rousey do it to both of them from a ladder at the most recent PPV - Tables, Ladders and Chairs.

Even though I've mentioned Charlotte as a sole winner, I'm going to stick with what the joint-winner scenario and have that as my final pick.

The final picks are:

Men's Royal Rumble:
Seth Rollins

Women's Royal Rumble:
Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch joint-winners

    1. I've written a few things over the past few weeks.

I pointed out a few that took my fancy. One was Andrade, one was Rollins because I thought they might have him start at one, same with Strowman after the limo thing. None of these have played out in storyline and it obviously won't now.

I think I also thought Rey so they can try and go with the idea that he could break his own record, but I don't think I wrote this. That may have been in a DM.

  2. Jeff Hardy will be entrant No1, Samoa Joe will be entrant No2. Samoa Joe will last the longest in the match.
