A Speculative Punt On Another Sky Bet Mania RequestABet Special

I've just placed a speculative punt on one of Sky Bet's WrestleMania RequestABet specials. There's a bit of a story behind it.

WWE has just announced that Andrade and Rey Mysterio will wrestle in a 2-out-of-3 falls match on the upcoming edition of WWE Smackdown.

After seeing the news, I thought to myself that they've wrestled enough times on regular TV that I am close to confident that their current feud will not extend to April despite reports that they could be opposing one another at WrestleMania.

Couple that with my theory that Daniel Bryan will still be holding the WWE Championship in April and I've reached the conclusion that Bryan .vs. Mysterio could be the WWE Title match at Mania.

I thought I'd get in touch with Sky Bet to see what price they would put it up at, but then decided to have a check to see if somebody had beaten me to it.

They had.

The selection 'Daniel Bryan .vs. Rey Mysterio to take part as a scheduled match' was 6/1 when I placed a small wager on it. I didn't place the maximum I could on it because it's not something I am completely confident on right now. All it is right now is guesswork trying to figure out what the WWE Championship match will be and this is the best I've got.

For now.

This in no way means that I've moved away from Seth Rollins winning the Royal Rumble. I still have a strong opinion that he'll win the battle royal to go on and face Brock Lesnar.

    I know you clearly state you're sticking with Seth but are you a little tempted by Mysterio's long Rumble odds at $67!?!

      Not at all because I am not confident that it'll be Bryan .vs. Mysterio.

      Knowing how Vince McMahon was pushed into having Rey win in 2006 and not going all-in on the title reign also has me doubting they'll have him win the Rumble.

      I'm sure if this the match, it won't be as much of a priority to push as Lesnar .vs. Rollins and the women's match.

      Babyface Nakamura vs the New Daniel Bryan would have been a great Wrestlemania program.
